Abstract

This report summarizes findings from the 2008-09 UC Davis Campus Travel Survey, administered annually each fall to a stratified random sample of the UC Davis community. It includes estimates of the overall campus mode split, average vehicle occupancy, numbers of vehicles arriving on campus, distances traveled, transit ridership by provider, and carbon emissions associated with campus travel. Additional results include statistics on accidents, bike theft, bikes left on campus overnight, bike type, vehicle type, and awareness of existing transportation programs. Also included is an overview of the survey administration process and a copy of the survey instrument.
