You slowly open your eyes and feel a sense of confusion.
[[look around]].As you sit there and scratch at the door you can't help but feel accomplished.
You were lost, but now you're back home.
The door [[opens]].After this long time of thinking you decide it is better off you stay lost,
you are not able to make it back home.
While this may sound sad, there is always a life for everyone even if it is not how you imagined it would be.
[[next]]This idea of freedom allows you to feel happy,
there is no more weight on your shoulders to make a whole household happy.
You can just be you.
The first thing youre going to do is climb a tree and go take a [[good nap]].You slowly approach the front door. You think to yourself, do they want me back? This worry still sits heavy in your heart before you decide.
Do you [[walk up]]
[[leave by yourself]]?As you look down you see your paws intact and feel a rumble in your stomach.
You wonder how long has it been?
How long since you've been home?
[[scope out the surroundings]].You see the cardboard box you've been using as a home, an empty can,
it seems as if you are in some kind of alley way, it's nighttime.
[[start walking]].As you begin to walk around your brain starts to wonder,
does my home even want me back?
Are my parents still looking for me?
My energy has been really low due to not having food anymore
do I [[take a nap]]
do I [[keep thinking]]?You wake up from your nap feeling relativley refreshed.
That was a good idea.
It is important to take breaks for ourselves, at least that what I hear mom and dad say to eachother.
Lets look for a [[sidewalk]].At this point my thoughts are really starting to spiral, I am a cat of course my owners [[want me back]]!
CLEARLY THEY DON'T!
THAT'S WHY THEY STILL HAVEN'T FOUND YOU!
[[stay in alley]]Now that you have found a sidewalk you should just stick to it.
Walk towards the [[school]]
walk towards the [[park]]?Though I have been lost for quite a bit, I know it I just know it
they must still be looking for me.
What I have to do now is start looking for them.
Continue to [[sidewalk]].After being alone for a couple more hours you decide to get up.
[[look for food]]At the school you begin to remember how happy the little kids you lived with always where when they came home to see you.
This boosts your morale and dedication to making it home.
[[keep walking]]?At the park you see loads of kids,
all of them seem fine without a kitty by their side,
do my owners even miss me?
Why do I keep thinking that?
Maybe its true.
[[keep walking]]?You feel tired again,
and you're still hungry.
But these streets are starting to feel a little bit more fimiliar.
Do you stop for a moment to [[think]]
do you take another [[nap]]?You're able to find some scraps behind a random building,
eating reminds you of home.
But nothing else really does.
[[sleep]].Sometimes the thought of being home doesn't sound as appealing as it used to,
if they havent found me maybe they don't want to and thats okay.
[[give up]] and start a new path
continue [[forward]]?You wake up from your nap feeling refreshed.
Coninue walking [[forward]].As you continue you start to smell familiar things, fresh cut grass
you hear familiar sounds, the rustle of trees.
You walk to a house that is perched at the end of the street, one that has been home to you your whole life.
[[take a look around]]?As you get closer more and more thoughts start rushing through your mind
is this what you really want?
[[walk up the steps]].You take another nap.
Once you wake up you realize being lost is not actually as bad as it seems.
Considering you're so small and able to find food, persisting on your own does not seem to bad anymore.
[[walk closer]] to home
[[explore]]?While looking around you start to notice other stray cats,
many of them look a little dirty, but they look happy.
Free of responsibility to make their owners happy,
this seems like a secret life no one wanted you to know was an option.
This brings up new [[ideas]].While thinking about fidning your way home you realize your options
you can stay lost and start a new life purely on your own,
You can keep working your way back to what you used to have.
But now that you know what is out there, do you really want to do that?
Give up freedom for someone elses happiness?
[[leave by yourself]]?You see the smiling faces of all your family members,
and remember they were never "owners" they're your family.
They missed you and are forever grateful you made it back home.
[[next]]You wake up feeling refreshed
This is a good life you've choosen for yourself.
[[next]]Not much else is here besides the playground and classrooms,
it is weird to imagine all the kids who go here.
All the kids who have pets of their own,
these thoughts make you a bit uncomfortable.
[[keep walking]].It smells weird inside the slides,
the sound of kids running around in the distance brings up many memories.
I can't stay here.
[[keep walking]].(text-colour:purple)[Thank you for playing:)]As you walk up and down the street you hear a faint barking in the distance.
At first this scares you.
continue to [[walk closer]] to home? You look slowly around a fence and your see a shaggy looking dog digging through some empty bins.
As you sense out the environment you decide to get closer to the dog.
He seems scared of you more than you are of him.
[[Meow]]?You hiss loudly at the dog before realizing he is another stray just like you.
You feel bad for this decision and,
try to [[Meow]]?Once you muster the courage to let out a little meow the dog looks up at you on the fence.
He starts quickly wagging his tail excited for any form of company.
You two spend the next couple of hours running around and foraging in the neighborhood.
The dog reassures you it is okay to live on your own.
You make the decision to [[leave by yourself]].
With the dog by your side of course. As you are running away you think about your main goal, making it back home.
