,,It is the beginning of everything here. The woods. Alone in the forest at night. Mist and darkness and void. Zard [[wakes up]] in a forest. It is dark and cold. He can barely see the surroundings. "How could I am here?" He murmured. " I cannot remember what's happened."Zard looks around. There are trees. Lots of trees. No wounds on his body, but he cannot recall anything. "Am I...in a forest?" Zard says. He begins to check if any clues on his body or around. A mark on his right forearm. It is not a tattoo. The [[mark]] is dark and fluorescent at night. "What is it?" Zard wanders around the place he lied. There are three paths. Each one leads to an unknown location.
[[Path one]]
[[Path two]]
[[Path three]]The mark is nothing special. It is still glowing; precisely, it is reflecting the light. "I have never seen this pattern before." Zard has no clue about the mark on his forearm, but he still needs to find a way out.
[[wakes up]]The path is full of mist. The clarity is much worse."I'd better figure out where I am heading. This path is not safe for me. Or I can find [[something interesting]] along this path."
[[wakes up]]
This path has no mist and fewer trees. The vision is open, and the surrounding is harmless. It seemingly is safe, but who knows. "I think this path is worth to have a try, at least it is safe." Zard says." Maybe I can find [[a way out]] if I follow this path."
[[wakes up]] This lead has mist, but the vision is still acceptable. It still has some potential threats."I'd better be careful. This one may be more terrified."Zard wanders in the front of this path. "I have to [[make a decision]], or I will die here."
[[wakes up]] Zard walks along this path. The mist and the darkness in the woods make him have low vision. " Why I have to choose this one. I will die here. I cannot see the road!" Along the path, Zard finds a stick and collects some branches. "Maybe I can [[make a torch]], then I will be safer and warmer. Although I make a torch, I cannot light it up. I just waste my time."
"I need to take a break. I have been encountered so many troubles since I woke up."
Zard takes a break then [[back on the road]] Everything is expected on this road. No howl. No weird sound. "Seemingly, I made the right choice," Zard says. The night in the woods begins to be frozen. Even though Zard has his jacket on, it still cold for him, " I have to make something or find someplace to stay overnight. Or I will be frozen. rubbing his hands, Zard keeps walking along the road. "Ahhhh, the cold is deadly. I need to do something to keep me warm. But I do not have a lighter or matches with me.
It has been a long time since Zard woke up; it is still dark.
Zard manages to light some leaves and branches to keep him warm to stay until morning.
The night is entirely peaceful, nothing happened on Zard.
[[Second Day]]On the wayfinding the path, Zard notices several tree stumps have a symbol on them. The sign is similar to the one on his forearm. He checks one of the stumps, finding that the emblem on it is not precisely the same. The mark on the stump is more like a minimap in the center of the symbol. "The map seemingly leads me to [[somewhere]] ."
Zard uses a piece of cloth from one of his sleeves to make an operable torch. "Well, the problem is...I cannot light it up; I can still use it to protect myself from unknown creatures in the woods."
[[back on the road]]Zard finds several empty camps in the woods, and there are some resources leftover, some food and water, and clothes.
In one of the empty camp, he finds a letter about the woods and how to leave the woods. "the forest is on an island and covered by a massive glass-like material, but there are a few docks which used to arrange for water transportation. If you desire to leave, you can try those locations on the map."
Zard selects the one closest to him, and take a rest in this camp.
[[The next day]]Zard wakes up in his little "camp," he feels energetic emotionally, but he is so hungry. Zard has not eaten anything since yesterday. "I have to find something to eat." He picks up one torch, continues on his way to find some food. Zard wanders around in the woods without a map or road signs; he does not know where he is heading to. Unfortunatly, this path is a dead end.
Zard wants to [[rest ]] for a while; he lays down and close his eys.
Following the map, Zard finds a cache set in the middle of nowhere. He looks closer and checks the box. "Should I open it or leave it and [[back on the road]] on the road?" Zard says. "What if there is something that can help me escape from the damn place, but...I do not want to die because of this [[mysterious box]]."Zard opens the container, the container makes a creaky sound. There are parchment and another long and narrow box inside it. Zard picks up the parchment, on the parchment, it writes "to whoever finds the cache, when you are reading this letter, I had been murdered in the woods. I leave some words for you. Firstly, be careful in this forest; the woods is an arena. People who in charge this place are experimenting with some forbidden projects--they transform people who die or lose in the woods into those creatures."
"It sounds creepy," Zard says and continuous to read.
"And the map below is one possible way to escape this hell, but I could not guarantee that. The little box is a sword, you can use it to protect yourself. Hope you can leave this place alive."
Zard takes a look at the map at the bottom of the parchment and takes the scabbard with him toward [[the possible exit ]].
"Well, if the woods is an arena, there must be other people here. If I can find them, they may have some idea to escape from the woods. But...what if they want something else other than escape..."
Zard still explores in the woods to find the right roads. He sees a wooden house appears. "Why is there a house here? Will people be in that house?"
He hesitates before making his choice, "should I [[go in ]] or [[go around ]], I am not sure if there are people inside, but it begins cold and dark, I'd better find a place to stay overnight."It begins colder and darker. Zard hopes there are food and a warm couch for him to relax well. Zard opens the door and sneaks in. The house is empty and dark. Zard manages to turn on the light; there are food and drinks on the table; Zard is so hungry and tired that he forget to check if there is anyone else in the house.
The second day, when he wakes up from the bed, he notices that several maps and blueprints and letters on the table. "What are those? I do not remember those papers were on the table yesterday." Zard picks up one of the paper, the paper is written in another language that Zard does not recognize. Zard puts the paper back. "I need to leave and find the way out before someone murdered me or lose in the woods."
Zard takes some food and drinks with him, then [[leaves the house]].Zard decides to go around the house. He builds a shelter to rest.
According to the letter he found, some people in the woods form a "community." They aim to leave this place, so they keep sending their member out the collect resource and draw up a map to find feasible ways to the docks. The docks are the only way to escape from the woods forever. This forest is on an island with many predictions.
But other than escape, the last person or last four people alive in the arena have the ability to leave as well. Becoming the last person stand means he has to kill other people if necessary, Zard is kind in his life that he can't kill anyone.
[[continues his journey ]] After Zard left the house, something weird happened.
"Where am I? I did not recall this place at all." Zard says.
He trembles with fear. "Is it..is it the place I first woke up?! How could it be possible! I am back where I woke up the first place!"
Zard finds that he is back where he was from the beginning. But this time, there is only one path for him to choose.
Zard walks along the path, after a while, he finds that he is circling in the woods.
Zard feels desperate for everything that happened to him. He puts all the belongings, the sword, and the parchment in a little box he took and buries it near a tree, making some signs around to guide people whoever can discover it.
He lays down, looks at the sky. Close his eyes. It becomes frozen at night, as well as [[his body]].It is the fifth day in the woods. The only thing he eats is leaves and some fruits from the trees. He meets a girl, the girl has lots of food and water with her.
Zard does not know if the girl will kill him, but he really needs some foods and water, he could go [[with girl]] or asks some resources then [[ walk aways]].
After all the food and water he has are consumed. Zard is about die.
He cannot get through the harsh cold wind at night
GG
[[Beginning]] He walks with the girl. She leads Zard to a camp, where there are many other people in it. People in the camp all want to get out of this place. They are the "community."--people who want to back to their everyday life.
[[In the camp]] Every day they send people out the find more information about the woods and the possible docks for them to leave. Some people can make it back, some cannot. It is a risk and time-consuming process.
After a couple days, gathering all the useful information, they discover a feasible dock for them to evacuate. But some people in the camp doubt the accuracy of the map. They do not want to take the risk, so a small portion of members decides to stay in the camp and search out some more reliable direction. Zard vacillates over making a choice. He wants to [[leave]], but he does not want to [[take the risk]].Zard makes up his mind to explore the dock according to the information.
They follow the map and spend a couple days on the road. Zard and his friends reach the dock. There are no guards around, so they take the ship and leave the woods, [[back to their normal life]]. Zard decides to stay in the camp, he does not want to take the risk.
One day, a member return the base says that he runs into a dock, but some guards near it. They have to figure out how to around the guards.
The next day, Zard takes his sword, and other people take some weapons and foods. They are on their way toward the dock.
They make a surprise attack on the guards and take one of the guards by force to lead the way out.
[[Beginning]] Zard is not dead, but he is not alive. He becomes one of them--the unknown creatures. Drift in the woods.
[[Beginning]] When he wakes up again, Zard notices that he is inside. Or precisely, in a room, there are machines around him. He cannot get up, he is anesthetized. None of his body parts can move, but he hears men's voice, speaking in the language he does not know.
The last moment he recalls is a man in a white coat walks toward him and injects him with some drugs. He feels dazzling and loses consciousness.
He becomes one of the terrific creatures in the forest. The nightmare begins.
[[Game over]]Zard does not make it alive, but he is not dead as well. He lives in another form. Neither human nor beast.
[[Beginning]] They spend more days on the ship than they expected. They begin to lack resources, and some people start to complain about the plan.
When they reach the edge of the sea. The sight in front of them makes them feel unprecedented desperate. There is a glass-like cover. They can never cross the [[cover]] , which means they will never leave this place!
Zard commits suicide in the depths of despair.
Game over
[[Beginning]] Zard spends a few hours to gather enough resources for him, then he is on his way to the final journey.
Surpersily, the dock he chooses has no sentries around. He takes a motorboat and follows the map to [[leave this place]]. Zard leaves this place and back to the town he used to be.
Finally, everything backs to normal for Zard.
