This place is seriously messed up, you think to yourself. You need to get out of here.
[[Leave the shrine.|Back in bathroom.]]]You're back in the bathroom. You're still shocked by what you found just now. You decide to wash your face to calm down.

"Ok good, I went to the therapist's office and you weren't there so I thought you ran away or something." She laughs.
"Oh, don't worry about me. I'm finishing up, so I'll be there in a bit," you say.
"Ok," she replies. "I'll go back to the therapist's office and wait for you there. Come over once you're done." You hear receding footsteps.
You better finish looking around quickly.
[[Go inside.|Lore]]I had a daughter once, many years ago. She was young, smart, beautiful. She had her whole life ahead of her. Then one day she disappeared without a trace. I went to the police and showed them a picture of her, hoping they'd help. Upon seeing the picture, one of them smirked and said, "Don't worry about her, I'm sure she just ran away with someone." Then they all laughed in my face. I realized then that the police won't help me. So I took matters into my own hands.
I searched high and low for her. I spent many sleepless nights imagining the worst. Finally, an entire week later, I found her.
...What was left of her.
I found her body on the outskirts of town. Her clothes had been torn off her body and scattered around her. Her face and body were bloodied. I had to face the truth: she had been raped and murdered. She was used, and her body was left there for the animals to feast on.
I covered her with the scraps of her clothes that remained and sat next to her. I lost track of time. I sat there for hours on end, just sitting there. But in the end, I had to accept the fact that she won't come back, no matter how long I stayed by her side.
I buried her body where I found it. After that, I didn't know what to do with myself. As I was leaving, I caught a glimpse of something white. I look over to see the remains of her favorite white dress, the one she wore when I last saw her. I took it with me. Then next to it, I saw a hat. I didn't recognize it as one of hers, so I leaned over for a better look.
It was a police uniform cap.
That's when I put two and two together. The officers in the police station not caring at all about where my missing daughter was, then finding a police cap next to her dead body. It could only mean one thing: it was the police who did this to her! Those savages in police uniforms raped my daughter and killed her.
I made up my mind then and there. I wouldn't let a single one of those officers go. I made it my life mission to hunt down and kill every. last. one of them. And then I thought to myself that I should kill their families before killing them. After all, they killed my daughter, the only family I had. It only makes sense that I rob them of their families as well, and make them suffer the same as I did, before killing them.
Five years ago, only one of them remained. He was one of the richest ones, which made it hard for me to ever get close. However, luck was on my side. He made an announcement in the local newspapers that he was throwing a lavish party for his son's 18th birthday, and that anyone was welcome. The opportunity to strike was presented to me on a silver platter, and of course I immediately began planning my move.
The day of the party, I managed to get in without any suspicion. Then, I locked his family inside one of the rooms and set fire to the mansion. I saw him exit and burning building and got ready to strike. Then, as he went back to save his dear family, I stabbed him to death. I had thought that I had finally avenged my daughter after so many years.
Then a couple days ago, I got an email from you asking to make an appointment, and your last name stuck out to me. It was the same last name as the cheif of police I'd killed five years ago. I decided I needed to see this person myself before I do anything else. I saw you enter the building from outside and immediately knew you were his son. I had thought I killed everyone that night, but I guess you managed to escpape. I knew then that my job is not finished. But now you're sitting right in front of me, and I can finish the job [[once and for all.|Tying up loose ends]]You sit in shock from what you've just heard. "My father couldn't have done those things. He couldn't have! You're lying!"
