You are dead. This is true. But how long ago has it been since you last took a living breath? How may days, months, years have passed since your heart stpped beating?

She called out your name.

You turn to look at her, eyes finally adjusted to the brightness of the room. You remember this day. Today is your ''birthday''. You're turning 12 years old. It's July 31, 1955.

Nothing too serious, it was only a couple samples of your blood that he wanted, as well as an excuse to probe into your insides for some reason or the other.
You had to think lightly of the situation, these monthly occurances were the only times you were able to see your //father//, after all.
Tears welled up in your eyes as he inserted a syringe into your vein. Although you couldn't see it, the idea of a needle piercing your skin made your eyes water.

You can see the teddy bear's sewn button eyes staring into you. Something is offputting about your room.
You feel as though someone is watching you.

You remember now. Theodora was like a mother to you, because your own mother was no longer here.
She was dead.

You are tucked in bed once again. This time, the spot next to you is empty, there is no little blue teddy bear accompanying you on the side.
You hear muffled voiced from outside.
"You can't keep doing this to him! He's your own son." A soft but firm voice proclaimed by the door, you finally recognize her as Theodora. She was standing up for you.
"You're not even working as a doctor anymore, these "tests" need to stop! I don't know what you do to him, but everytime he comes back from your care he appears much more worse than before! It pains me to see..."
A louder voice interupts your softspoken caretaker.
"Stay out of my way, Theodora. You are only here to do your job. Not to interfere with my family's matters."
A bubbling anger seeps in the back of your mind hearing him speak to her that way.
"...What do you have against your own son?"
Somehow, you dreaded the answer.
"It's because of him. It's because of him that //she's dead.//"

[[close your eyes->Bedroom2]]You remember now.
It was either you or her, and unfortunately, luck was on your side that night. There was no medicine in existance that could save her while she gave birth to you back then.
You were just born, but he never let you forget it.
