Have you ever had one of those days, where you seem to have 200 commitments all happening around the same time? To those of you who have, sorry in advance for putting you through that experience again. For those of you who have not, well ... [[Today is your day|next]]

//"Oh honey you are the best!"// Great. Look what you've done. Saying yes to something that you don't even know if you can do. As you enter the car you realize that 5 minutes have gone by. You sit there stressfully trying to decide what to do. You either show up late to couples therapy and hear a mouthful from your partner, or not drop off the pills at Aunty Jenny's house and make mom irrate. You arrive to couples therapy. You and your partner love each other, but things can get a little messy at times. You and your partner sit down with Pauline, your couples therapist, and discuss the things in the past week which have annoyed each other. In the middle of Pauline's advice, you suddenly remember that you told your boss that you would come in to work today and help him polish the toilets for an extra vacation day. Shoot. As you're pulling into Aunty Jenny's driveway your phone starts vibrating in your pocket. Shoot. Your partner is definitely calling about where in the world you are. You aren't really in the mood to explain to them why you aren't at therapy yet. [[Pick up the phone|talk]] [[Ignore them|ignored]]

You figure to yourself, one vacation day isn't going to be worth cleaning all the toilets in the facility. As the session comes to an end. Your partner wants to go grab something to eat. You are really hungry as well. Some Souplantation is sounding really appetizing right now. Suddenly, you get a call from your boss. Shoot. You knew this was going to happen at some point. You know he's calling about where you are. You don't want him upset, but you are also really hungry. Anything you say to them isn't going to calm them or make better of the fact that you were late to couples therapy. //"I'm sorry, I had to do something for my mom. I'll be there in like 10 minutes. You're not puttng up with their complaining and yelling right now. You put your phone on "Do not disturb." and go deliver the pills. As you're walking back from Aunty Jenny's house. You check your phone and realize you have 20 missed calls from your partner. You try calling them back but they don't pick up. Damn, they pissed pissed. //"Guys I'm so so sorry, but I have to go into work right now. I'm really sorry."// you say. //**"Oh my god. Are you serious?!?!!?** Wow, I'm not even suprised. Just go, just go, I don't even care at this point."// your partner says annoyingly. You knew they were going to act this way. But in a way, you are kind of glad you are getting away from this toxic environment. [[You never liked couples therapy to begin with|work]]

You're really out here scrubbing and cleaning toilets for one vacation day. Whatever makes you happy. //"I really appreciate you coming in and cleaning these filthy toilets" your boss says. "I don't think anyone has cleaned these bad boys in years haha." "I'll be back to check on ya. Need to go water my succulent."// You like your boss. You've been working for him for a few years now, and have built a really good relationship with him. [[Suddenly, you get a text from your bestfriend Olivia|text]]

You ignore his call and head to Souplantation with your partner. You are dying to eat a Cesar Salad at the moment. You've been on a unique diet this past month, which allows you to only eat salads for every meal of the day. You are devouring the freshness of your salad. [[Suddenly, you get a text from your boss|call]]

You lie to your boss and say, //"Hey boss, I'm really sorry, but my partner just got attacked by a dog, and I'm taking her to the hospital right now. I won't be able to come in and help today, I hope you can understand."// //"Oh I'm so sorry about that. No worries, thanks for letting me know."// your boss says with truthfulness. You can't believe you just made up that lie and he bought it. Wow. You're glad you won't be spending the rest of the day cleaning toilets. [[In the meantime, your stomach is growling|restaurant]]

//"Hey boss, I'll be there in a little bit."// you respond to him on the phone. You hang up and are met with the distressed look of your partner's face. //**"I'll be there in a little bit??? What happened to getting food with me??"**// your partner yells. //"I'm sorry I'm sorry, my boss needs me at work right now. We'll go another time I promise."// you say to try to calm her. //"Ugh whatever."// she says in frustration. [[She didn't seem too upset...|work]]

You text Olivia saying, //"Omg, I can't believe I forgot about that. I'm really sorry Liv, but I'm at work right now scrubbing toilets lol. Can we reschedule for another day later this week?"// She responds. //"No way you're backing out of this right now. Are you being serious?"// That wasn't the forgiveful response you were hoping for. You text Olivia back saying, //"Be there in 10."// You look around for your boss, but you can't find him anywhere. Whatever. Even though you still had a few more toilets to clean, you put all the cleaning supplies away and head to your car. You pull into the mall parking lot and meet up with Olivia at the world famous Sock Supremacy store. The theme of the dance is "Under the Sea." You are looking for some Disney Ariel socks, even though your favorite Disney princess is Mulan. Olivia found a cool pair of Atlantis socks, which to be honest, isn't as cool as Ariel socks. [[Suddenly, you hear a voice in the distance shout your way.|partnerShout]]

You are really craving chicken soup at the moment, but you're committed to sticking with your diet of only eating salads for every meal of the day. All the options on the Souplantation menu really appeal to you though. You are enjoying the immense flavor of your Cesar salad with a side of lemonade. [[Suddenly, you feel a tap on your shoulder|shoulder]]

//"I know I said we were gonna go to the mall today, but I need to stay at work and finish this. I'm sorry, but lets plan for sometime later this week please!"// you text her. //"Ugh fine. Your boss walks in as you polish the finishing touches on the last toilet. You are exhausted and so relieved that you are finally done after all that hard work. //"Wow! These toilets look amazing!"// your boss says in delight. [[You didn't think clean toilets could make a man so happy|textTomSam]]

You show up to rehersals, and the place is going crazy. You did not anticipate this many people signed up for rehersals today. Almost half of the show was rehersing today. This isn't good, you have to be home by 8 for movie night. All you can do now is wait for your turn, which you don't even know when that is. You ask your classmate Ben, or in this setting, the stage director, when your turn is. //"You will be going in three acts."// he tells you. You do the calculations in your head, and if you're right, there should be enough time for you to get home on time. Ben asks you if you can find an administrator to unlock the door to the dressing room in the meantime. You tell him, //"sure."// [[Suddenly, as you are looking around the office for an admin, you get a text from your classmate Sarah|sarahText]]

You text Tom and Samantha that you forgot you had talent show rehersals tonight, and that you have no idea how long it will last. You suggest that movie night happens on another night. Tom responds saying, //"We can do later tonight if that is better for you? Maybe like 9?"// You like the sound of that. The rehersal will surely be done by then. //"That sounds great! See you guys then :)"// you text back. You lock up the store, and head to rehersal at school. [[Ariana Grande is playing on the radio|rehersal2]]

You didn't anticipate this many people being at rehersal today. Around half of the acts are here, and ready to reherse. It's a good thing you rescheduled movie night for later. This might take a while you think to yourself. You ask your classmate Ben, or in this setting, the stage director, when you will be rehersing. //"In about three acts."// he tells you. This is great, you think to yourself. You'll have more than enough time to go home, and get ready before movie night. Ben calls your name, and you take the stage. You are a little nervous, but who doesn't get a little stage fright. You take a deep breath, and ... [[Suddenly, your phone starts buzzing|buzzing2]]

Ah screw this, you think to yourself. Ben can go find an admin himself. You sit down on a bench by the gymnasium, and join the zoom call. You and your group are working on a research project, which involves trying to find which phone model is the most owned by the classmates in your grade. You are a Samsung user yourself, so you are hoping the results come back with a majority of Android users. You text Sarah back saying, //"Sarah I'm so so sorry, but I can't help right now. I'm busy at rehersals."// //"You realize that we scheduled to work on this days ago, and the project is due tomorrow..."// Sarah responds back. You know she's right. You would hate to be that person who doesn't contribute anything to the group project. You've had plenty of experiences with people who've done that, and you hated it. You've always been pretty good at multitasking. You always called it your "hidden talent." Is it really a talent though? Maybe you should display your multitasking skills for the talent show instead of singing. You join the zoom in the meantime of trying to find an admin. Luckily you ran into one on the way to the drinking fountain. You're glad that you made Ben's job a lot easier. After a short while, Ben calls you and says your turn is up next. You tell your group that you are going to have to go. Even though you couldn't help for long, they are still glad you were able to contribute, despite your busy schedule. You take the stage. The bright stage light almost makes you blind. You are a little nervous, but who doesn't get a little stage fright. You take a deep breath, and ... [[Suddenly, your phone starts buzzing|buzzing]]

You shout from the stage, //"I'm sorry I have to take this. Someone else can go."// //"Hello?"// you pick up in confusion. //"Aunty Jenny is in the hospital right now. They are saying she might have had a heart attack. **Did you drop off the pills at her house like I told you so?!?!?!"**// your mom yells at you. You know whether or not you dropped off the pills. You turn your phone on silent, and go on with the show. You take another deep breath, and sing your heart out. You always had a really good voice, but you never displayed your talent to anyone. You were given a round of applause by those at rehersal, as many of them were shocked at how well you could sing. You are pleased with how well that went, and glad that you can finally leave rehersal. [[You can't wait for the main show next week|afterShow]]

You respond back to Sarah saying, //"I know, I'm so sorry. This rehersal is just really important right now so I can't join."// //"Yeah don't worry about it. It's cool. It's not like we have to turn this in tomorrow of anything. But you do you. Have fun at your rehersal."// Sarah texts back. You can sense the sarcasm in her response. This isn't good. Are you being honest? This is a serious situation. You know your mom will find out sooner than later if you are telling the truth. //"Did you drop off the pills??"// your mom frustratingly asks you again. [[You respond, yes|reassureYES]] [[Your respond, no|NO]]

//"No I didn't, but I can expla"// //**"ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?!?!"**// your mom yells, as she cuts you off before you can even finish. You knew this was going to happen. //"I can't believe you right now. Don't come home tonight. Find somewhere else to sleep."// your mom promptly hangs up in disbelief. You feel sick to your stomach. How could you let this happen. You're glad you told her the truth. [[But you hate yourself. You wish you just dropped off the damn pills|pills]]

As you get in your car, ready to head home, you remember that your mom called you as you took the stage. You check your phone. **20 missed calls from mom**, your notifications read. //"Yeah I did."// you tell your mom. //"OK just making sure. I need you to come to the hospital right now."// your mom says more calmly. Great. Your mom needs you at the hospital, but you have movie night in about 10 minutes. You know the right decision is to be at the hospital for Aunty Jenny. //"I'll be there in a few minutes."// you respond somewhat annoyingly. You text Tom and Samantha that movie night is going to have to be cancelled. As you enter the room, you see Aunty Jenny laying peacefully on the medical bed. //"Is she alive?"// you ask your mom. //"Yes."// your mom responds tiredly. You're relieved. The only thing running through your mind was the fear that Aunty Jenny could have passed. //"We need to stay here until she wakes up."// your mom says. You wake up from the loud beeping of the heart rate monitor. You check the time and it's 8:14 am. Wow, you slept the night at the hospital. You look around and see Aunty Jenny still sleeping. Your mom enters the room and gives you a hug, even though that is the last thing you wanted. You hated when your mom gave you hugs and kisses, especially since you started high school. //"How was your day yesterday?"// your mom asks you while sipping a cup of coffee. You think to yourself. Yesterday was probably the most overwhelming, tiring, exhausting, and stressful day ever. //"It was fine."// you respond to her. Your mom begins to walk out the room and clears her throat. //"Oh ya, by the way. I'll find out soon whether or not you actually gave Aunty Jenny her pills."// she says evilly as she exits the room. Oh no! You just remembered that you have couples therapy in 15 minutes. And it's about a 10 minute drive without traffic. [[Your partner gave you a good yelling the last time you were late|exithouse]].

As you're just about to exit the house you hear the faint shout of your mother. //"Honey honey, I need you to drop these pills off at Aunty Jenny's house before she leaves for her trip to Cancun in 10 minutes. It's for Aunt Jenny's chest aches, she forgot to pick them up at the pharmacy and I haven't been able to get a hold of her."// Bruh, you have couples therapy in like 15 minutes, and now you have to be the Amazon delivery man. It reads. //"I'm really disappointed in you. You told me you were going to come in today and help clean, and you don't show up, or even bother to tell me why. //"Where are you?"// She asks. You are confused. What is she talking about? You text her back asking, //"wdym?"// She responds saying, //"We were going to go to the mall today, and find cool socks we could wear at the dance next week."// Shoot. How could you forget about your sock shopping plan for today. You are currently in the middle of scrubbing toilets for your boss. But you don't want to flake from your plan with Olivia. But you know what I hate the most? Liars."// your boss responds. //"Maybe they're hiring at Souplantation. I suggest you ask them."// your boss says to you as he walks away. //**"This doesn't look like work to me?!?!?!?!"**// your partner shouts from afar. Shoot. You think to yourself, what have I gotten myself into. While also thinking, what in the world are they doing at Sock Supremacy?? //"Ok I can explain."// you say to try to calm them down. //"I was at work I promise, but then I forgot I made plans with Olivia for today."// //**"I can't believe you would just ditch me like that! And then I find you here at the mall. I'm over this. I'm over you. We're done!!!"**// your partner yells at you while 30 different customers stand and watch this performance. You text your neighbors Tom and Samantha that you're done at work and ask them if they want to hang out at your place and watch a movie. They respond quickly saying //"hell yeah!"// //"My place at 8."// you text them. Suddenly, you get a notification from your Google Calendar which reads, //**"TALENT SHOW REHERSALS, 7:30"**// Shoot. How could you forget you had talent show rehersals tonight. The show is one week away, and you still haven't memorized all the lyrics to "Drivers License" yet. //"Yo, are you joining the zoom?"// she asks. You think to yourself, what is she talking about. Then it hits you. How could you forget that you planned to work on the group project this evening?? This isn't good. You're currently looking for an administrator, while waiting for your turn at rehersal, just before movie night tonight. What have you gotten yourself into. You certainly can't zoom right at this moment, but this project is also due tomorrow and you need to get it done. Trying to calm him down you respond, //"Ben I'm sorry, but I forgot I had to help my group on a project right now."// //"You could of at least told me, and I would've just had someone else do it. I'm over this, I'm taking you off the show."// Ben says and storms away. You are shocked. You didn't think he was going to get this mad over finding an administrator. But you also understand where he is coming from. There's a lot of pressure on him to make this show perfect, and you didn't follow through. It reads, **"You have been kicked from the group."** There's no way they just kicked you out of the group like that?? Does that mean you're not going to get any credit for this project? To be fair, you didn't do anything, but still. You start to panic. You knew this project was worth a big part of your grade [[You wish you would've just said yes and helped|sarahText]]
