adapted from a game created in Art80g by Maeve Black, Fall '19The city is full of unique neighborhoods each with their own secret gems. Today you can explore the city and if you're lucky find some of those hidden gems in each district.
Where should we go first?
[[Sunset]]
[[Downtown]]
[[Fisherman's Wharf]]Enjoy the beachside coffee shops and stores that the Sunset District has to offer. As you sit by the beach and watch the surfers ride the waves at Ocean Beach you get a little peakish and decide to check out the dim sum on
[[Clement Street]]
or
[[Geary Blvd.]]Union Square is a shopper's paradise. This bustling square is the center of downtown and is surronded by upscale department stores and boutiques. You can catch the iconic [[cable cars]] for the full SF experience.San Francisco's Fisherman's wharf is proudly unique among scenic waterfront attractions around the world. This vibrant area is known for its delicious food and sea themed activities.
So much to do but so little time! Do you want to visit stop and eat some famous [[chowder]] from a sourdough bread bowl or go see the [[sea lions]] SF's imfamous wild neighbors. It's a beautiful day and you decide to buy a ticket to ride the cable cars so that you can explore the city in the most stylish way.
You can either go to [[Chinatown]] or [[Ghirardelli Square]]The Cable Car drops you off in Chinatown. There is so much excitement around you it's hard to know where to begin.
Should you stop to eat some [[dim sum]], shop at the [[nik nak]] stores, or get your [[fortune]] told. Ghirardelli Square is the best place in the city to get a hot fudge sundae and any other chocolate flavored dessert no matter what time of day but you are left feeling stuffed and ready to move on to something a little more physical.
Would you rather take a hike [[Landsend]] where you get a spectacular view of the GG bridge or walk up [[Twin Peaks]] with a panoramic view of the city?Dim Sum was absolutely delicious but now you feel it's time to work off some of those dumplings.
Let's take a walk to [[Landsend]] to burn off some of those bao's!The shops were cool but ultimately full of clutter and things you don't need.
Guess you have to go back to the activity drawing board. The fortune telling lady was a scam according to yelp pick a new activity. Twin Peaks offers one of the best views of the city from exhilarating heights. Unfortunately, the fog is too dense to see anything...
I guess [[Landsend]] is the way to go today. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city Land's End is the place for you. You can take a look at the beautiful Ocean Beach while also getting a unique view of the [[golden gate bridge]]. The chowder at Pier 39 is unbeatable. Served hot in a sourdough breadbowl it was a perfect choice for this cold windy day but now you are ready for some more excitement. Let's head over to the iconic [[North Beach]]
Visiting the sea lions at Pier 39 is always a treat! California sea lions are known for their intelligence, playfulness and noisy barking so you will not want to miss out on this city attraction.
Lets move on to the next adventure and head to the next neighborhood, [[North Beach]]. It's not baseball season and Oracle Park is closed. Guess the [[marina]] it is!Biking around the Marina was such a good idea it's hard to leave the beautiful ocean scenery but end of the day is coming closer and you still haven't seen the golden gate bridge.
Do you want to continue your bike ride to [[crissy field]] or shop around [[Chesnut street]]?Crissy Field is a national recreational area nestled under the [[golden gate bridge]] and across the way from Alzatraz. There are picnic areas, nice bike and running paths where you can enjoy the spectacular view of the bridge.Food and shopping are some of the Marina's best qualities and Chesnut street is definitely the place to be. With restaurants, boutiques, and many stores inbetween time flies when exploring Chesnut.
Head over to [[Fort Point]] to end the day with some pretty spectacular views!Nestled directly underneath the Golden Gate bridge you won't want to miss the spectacular view. Fort Point is a masonary seacoast fornification located on the southern side of the [[golden gate bridge]] at the entrance to the San Francisco bay.

Come back again soon :)For good people watching and strange yet wonderful shopping, Haight street is the place to be. This San Francisco neighborhood nestles at the top of Golden Gate Park is known for its hippie indie vibes which in the 1960's was its name to fame.
It's going to be hard to top the good vibes of Haight but on to your next adventure.

[[The Mission]]Japantown is extremely busy because of Japanese New Year it might be best to return and save that trip for another day. From burritos to bicyclists, the Mission is the foundation for all things hip in the city. Take your pick of hundreds of amazing taquerias and try some of the best Mexican food in the nation, if you're still hungry. Or head up to Dolores Park for some sun and relaxation.
Once you are done exploring head over to see some of the original San Francisco icons,

[[The Castro]]. Clement Street runs through the Richmond district and is a food-lovers paradise. Lined on both sides with restaurants, bakeries, dim sum shops, produce stands and other places to buy things to munch on as you meander.
Once you are filled to the brim with dumplings and pastries you begin to think about your next destination and narrow it down to visiting

[[Japantown]]The painted ladies are the best looking ladies in San Francisco, especially against that jaw-dropping backdrop. One of the most photographed locations in San Francisco is this group of colorfully repainted Victorian Victorian house which sit across Alamo Square.
Your trip to see the Painted Ladies leaves you wanted more iconic points, make the trip to [[Marine Headlands]] to catch the sunset over the city. You crossed the golden gate to enter into the beautiful marine headlands. This hilly peninsula at the southernmost end of Marin County are famous for it's breathtaking views of the Bay Area, especially for the [[golden gate bridge]]. The Castro is not only the cultural center of San Francisco's gay community, but it also has some of the nicest retail stores in the city. One of the most notable attractions is the Castro Theater, a movie house built in 1922 and is now one of San Francisco's premier movie theaters.
Once you have explored the Castro to your hearts content head over to [[Marine Headlands]] for some views that are a little less urban. Geary Boulevard runs through the Richmond district and one of the main streets that run through the city. Parallel to clement street, you can find some pretty delicious restaurants if you look in the right places!
Continue your travels to [[Haight Asbury]] or [[Japantown]] You made it to North Beach with so many activities around it's hard to know what you want to do first.
Would you like to walk around [[Coit tower]] or stop for a snack in [[Little Italy]]. Coit Tower is a 210-foot tower in the Telegraph Hill neighborhood of San Francisco, offering panoramic view over the city and the bay. The walk up the hill is pretty painful so much sure you have your walking shoes ready but the view is worth it!
What's next? Would you want to check out oracle park to see a [[Giants game]] or bike over to the [[marina]] green?Pizza, Pasta, Pastry Galore! While walking around Little Italy you'll be surrounded by dozens of Italian establishments, restaurants, cafes and Ice Cream Shops. The small area of Little Italy is located in the North Beach district, in the northeastern area of the city and is home characterized by its wonderful charm and color.
