You finally did it. You and your friend Gus reached the top of Everest. After months and months of preparation, you finally made it. And now everything has gone to [[sh*t.]]

</div>As you began to decend, the winds began to pick up, Gus had been complaining about his cramp-ons and all of a sudden boom! Gus slips and starts rolling down the mountain.
"GUUUUSSS", you yell.
You see him struggling to get hold of anything sturdy, and finally you see him grab at a rock. There is a loud scream and you see him jolt to a stop. You quickly begin to [[climb down]] to him.

</div>AHHH!! "Jason you gotta hurry. I think my leg is broken, and it feels like my arm is dislocated!".
"Im coming, Im coming!" you yell.
As you get closer you realize Gus is holding onto the rock, but you also realize that the patch near the rock is extremely icy.
Do you use [[the rope]] in your bag to throw to Gus, [[walk across the ice]] or try to [[hike down]] on your own to get help?"Ok Gus im going to throw you this rope ok?"
You throw Gus the rope. He misses it because one of his arms is dislocated. It takes a few tries but he finally gets a hold on it.
You pull him toward you until he is right next to [[you.]]

You continue to walk toward Gus very slowly watching every step carfully.
Suddenly you slip, and begin to role down the [[mountain!]]

Gus may only have a few hours to live, because as the storm moves in and night time approaches, you know the temperature will drop [[drastically.]]

</div>You desperatly grab at anything and everything but nothing is working. You hear Gus yelling but you cant make out what he is saying.
Then you feel weightless. Then darkness.
You fell off a 200 foot cliff and hit a [[rock.]]

</div>"Are you allright?"
"My leg hurts real bad Jason, I dont think I can walk"
You think about your options and remember that there is another group 30 minutes back that is taking another [[route down.]]
Suddenly you stop. You remember that there is another group about 30 minutes behind you. They are taking a different route.
Do you [[backtrack]] to get to the alternate trail about 40 minutes up and try to catch up to the other group, or do you [[continue down]]?
Do you [[backtrack]] to the other group, do you try to [[drag Gus down]] the mountain on the tarp in your backpack, or do you [[leave Gus]] and head down to camp?

</div>You begin to to hike back up the mountain.
Once you reach the trail split that you had passed earlier, you begin down the other trail. After hiking down the trail for another 5 minutes you reach a split that you had not [[anticipated.]] You look for footprints but the high winds have wiped away any trace of humans.

</div>"Dont worry Gus we're going to get you down this mountain"
You start to pull Gus down. You have to go extremely slow to make sure that you dont slip. The storm continues to role in and the temperature begins to drop, there isnt enough time to get all the way to camp. Youll be frozen by the time you get [[there.]]

</div>You lay down to relax, but the longer you lay the harder it is to get up. You are so exhausted that you try to take a quick nap.
you dont wake up.
YOU HAVE DIED.
THE ENDYou continue onward and you finally reach camp!!
You tell the sherpas what happened. Unfortunately the storm is too strong now for them to go [[rescue Gus.]]
Do you [[leave Gus]] and try to get down yourself, or do you [[continue on]] with Gus?
You decide to take the right trail. The farther down you go the more skeptical you are of your choice, but theres no turning back now. After what seems like hours, you finally [[reach camp.]]You take the left trail. Pretty soon you catch up to the other group. After explaining everything, they decide to go back up to rescue Gus, but they wont let you go.
They insist that you get to camp, and they promise to do their best to [[save Gus.]]The next day the sherpas go up to retrieve Gus's body.
You go home deeply saddened. You will remember him forever but you cant help but wonder if there was anything else you could have done to Save Gus.

</div>Your fingers begin to freeze and you are extremely tired. Gus looks to be in bad shape as well. There are red blood stains coming through Gus's pants and his leg has swolen to twice its normal size.
The exhaustion overtakes you, and you collapse to the [[ground.]]
You are quite stubborn sometimes and you think that you should follow them.
Do you go [[head down]] to base camp or secretly [[follow them]]?

After about 20 minutes of following you realize this may have been a bad idea.
You are so dehydrated that you begin to stumble. All of a sudden you slip and fall on your oxygen container breaking the nozzle.
Already depleted of energy, you now have no energy and you lay on your back without enough energy to [[stand]].
You fight the urge to fall asleep because you know it will be the end.
But the blackness overtakes you and you fall asleep to never wake again.
