You wake up to a blaring alarm, your memory is foggy.
Slowly you notice the voice of a computer saying "Repressurising Complete."
Look around.
You are surrounded by chaos, a loud alarm rings in your ears and you are blinded by sparks from the electrical pannels.
Looking around you begin to recognise your surroundings and blurred memories begin to flow back to you.
You are in the airlock of a science sation orbiting the moon of the gas giant Ae-23X.
Your beginning to get your bearings when it suddnly hits you.
Amanda is gone.

To your left you see two doors, one that leads to the reactor the other to the labratory, on your right is the entrance to the living quarters and control room.
You also notice on your wrist a small monitor. Its screen has a small crack but it still turns on.
It looks like you can view a map of the ship with it.

You see the aftermath of something grusome.
The memories become clear now. You had to do it, there was no other choice.
There was an accident, an explosion, it rocked the whole station. Hal the engineer working on the reactor was fatally injured. You remember trying despertly to stop the bleeding but to no avail.
Suddenly you saw his lifeless body start to move, a small creature forced its way out.
You ran.

You shuffle through them reading the contents when you dicover Amanda's personal notes folder.
You read carefully through the files within.
Its here you learn that in a recent survey sample retrieved from the surface there was an unidfentified microbe in the sample.
As you read you notice that Amanda's entries become more and more frequent and paranoied. She was afraid that the contents of the sample became airborn and spread to the rest of the crew.
She kept tabs on everyone after they were exposed and tried to find out if this organism has any harmful effects.
It looks like we found the answer the hard way.
In her last entry she mentions that she identified some of the genes in the DNA of the organism. It's a parasite like microbe that latches on to its host and waits until the host dies, where it then comes out and spreads to other hosts. She noted in her last line the absolute necessity that this new microbe does not reach Earth for it has the potential to completely wipe out humanity.
ComputerThe door is now powered. You try to open the door.
You hear the groan of the metal door as the hydraulics force it open. It only opens a sliver before grinding to a halt.
It looks like the explotion damaged a part of the mechanism. You will have to find another way to get through this door.
A strong enough blast should knock it off its hinges. You remember that the storage room in the Lab has lots of chemicals. There might be some that could create an (text-colour:yellow)[explotion]. Maybe if you crafted it together with something to (text-colour:yellow)[bind] it to the door you might be able to get in.

You sit down in front of the pannel. At last you can send for help and have a chance to see your family again.
You begin to break down in tears as the stress of your situation finally starts to release.
But as you sit in front of that pannel you can only think of one thing.
(text-colour:green)[You are infected.]
The thought racks inside your brain. You'er finaly moments from freedom, but you know the truth. If you are rescued the infection will have the chance to spread unchecked thoughout humanity.
However, with the reactor repaired, you can forever protect humanity by getting rid of this infection by overloading the reactor and destroying the station.
But if you choose this path, never again will you see your family, they will neverknow the reason why you never returned. A promise forever broken.
Which (text-colour:red)[Sacrifice] will you make.
Overload
SignalYou bypass safty protocalls and set the reactor to blow.
You hear the monsterous sounds of the reactor as it strains under the load.
Then suddenly a brigh light flashes.
Then nothingYou succesfully send out a distress signal.
A passing research colony on it way home to Earth intercepts your message.
You are finally going home.
You have made your desision. You have decided to live out the rest of your days in peace with your family by your side and your promise fulliled.
You risk sacrificing humanity for your happness. But you tell yourself that when the time comes and you know death is near after a fulfilling life that you will deal properly with this infection.
//But things are never so easy.//
Just a few months before you reach Earth, it happens.
The colony ship enters the path of a enormous coronal mass ejection. The ship's shields suffer a malfunction. Nearly half of the residents onboard experence a fatal doses of radiation.
Unfortunately, you were one of them.
In your last moments you franticly try to explain your situation, that you needed to get off this ship or be isolated, but it falls upon deaf ears in the resulting chaos.
The local medical officers do their best to resuscitate you but you flatline.
The doctors call time of death when suddenly, their machines detect a sign of life 2 The station is blown apart and the pieces blast away.
You did it, you made the ultimate Sacrifice.7 years since the detonation...
A scavenging vessle passes by this sector.
It discovers the wreckage of the station.
They conduct a search of the area.
They find life. The End?The End?You flip the switch.
The reactor hums to life and the lights flicker on.
Reactor Room
(link:">View map.<")[(goto: "Map")]Looking around you remember that faitful moment. Hal lying on the ground lifeless yet somehow moving.
The alien crawled out while you watched frosen as if what was happening infront of you was just a dream.
Then something clicked inside you, calling from the depths for you to act.
So you ran down the hallway just in time to see Amanda leaving the lab.
Amanda, simmilary frosen at the sight of the creature, runs into the airlock in an attempt to escape while you followed right behind and tried to close the door.
But you weren't fast enough.
As the door to the air lock closed the creature jumped in.
You had to act fast so you yelled at Amanda to hold on to something. You had one chance to get rid of the creature. Open the airlock.
You grabed a railing and slamed your hand on the airlock door override. You braced youself as you heard the metalic thunk of the outer door springing open.
The air rushed past your ears trying its best to take you out with it. Then suddenly there was silence.
You blacked out.
Behind ReactorOn the table you find bottles full of reactive chemicals. Seems a bit dangrous to have this lying around you think to yourself.
You carefully take the bottles with you.
These chemicals should create an (text-colour:yellow)[explosition] strong enough to get through most things. But they need somthing to (text-colour:yellow)[bind] them to the target. Perhaps a bed sheet would work.
