Jerome Litt's Drug Reaction Database ★ ★ ★

This is an extensive database of cutaneous drug reactions associated with over 300 drugs. The information is organized into two formats. One is alphabetically, by drug name, which can be searched directly, or by a search engine using either the brand or generic name of the drug. All cutaneous drug reaction manifestations are then retrieved by opening the database for that drug.

The second format provides the information in a manner that can be searched using the type of reaction encountered (eg. lichenoid, bullous, purpura, etc.), which retieves a list of all medications in the database reported to be asociated with that type of reaction. Entering individual drug databases provides a list of references for each type of skin reaction associated with that drug.

The database is relatively current with the last revision in December, 1993. It is made available through Dr. Daniel Collison at the Hitchcock Clinic, Dartmouth Medical Center.

The material referenced is established peer-reviewed.

The material presented is of great value to practitioners of dermatology.

Access is free and easy. Electronic searching makes this format of far more value than the textbook version.
