After some time on the hike, everyone is stunned by the sound of a blast, followed by a strong burst of wind that was powerful enough to make everyone fall over.
After taking some time to gain their bearings, the group suspects something terrible has happened.
Lincoln says the group should [[get to high ground]] to try and find more information.
Reginald disagrees, he thinks the group should [[take shelter]] in case anything else happens.
Sierra doesn't really care, so this decision is on you.You figure the best way to protect yourselves is to gather information.
The group reaches a high hill which oversees the nearby city. No damage seems to be done. However, despite it being dark out, there is next to no lights on in the city.
Sierra seems to think that whatever happened was unimportant, and wants to [[continue with the hike]].
Lincoln thinks Sierra is crazy, and wants to [[investigate further]].(set: $concern = true)
You figure that whatever happend is no good. You tell the group you're going to return to camp and take shelter in the [[car]], where they can try to find out what happened.(if:$phones is false)[ Since nobody has their phones, hopefully they can make use of the radio to learn more information.](set: $concern = false)
You disregard Lincoln's concerns and decide to continue the hike. Whatever happened was likely out of their control anyways. We might as well enjoy our time in the wilderness without worrying about the concerns of the outside world.

The group decides to return to the campsite and take shelter in the [[car]].

You arrive at the car with the others, the sky is dark and it's hard to see. Oddly, the car cannot be unlocked wirelessly. You have to open the door the old fashioned way: with the key. Any attempt to start the car fails. It seems that the electronics inside have been somehow sabotaged.

The lakeside is beautiful. The air is far cooler than by the campsite and there is a stream nearby that seems safe to drink.

With such limited vision, Reginald falls over and gets a large gash across his leg. Once you make it back to camp, everyone eats and then heads to bed. When the group wakes up in the morning, Reginald's leg looks badly infected. It's clear that if he doesn't get medical aid, things will end badly for him.

The group returns to the campsite, figuring that there isn't much left to find on the hiking trail. *They each eat a hot dog for dinner* and then head to bed.

There isn't much going on in the woods. Not a sign of intelligent life for miles. The group wastes the whole day, losing any sense of proximity to the camp.
As the sky darkens, you decide it's necessary to try and set up a place to sleep. Everyone is feeling starved(if: $lakefound is false)[, and everyone has a headache from being dehydrated].
Regardless, there is nothing the group can do but [[go to sleep]].(if: $lakefound is true and $reg is true)[You are awakened. By an unrecognizable giant mutant looking creature. You are at first alarmed, until the create informs you that they are Reginald! It seems the mushroom he ate had a horrific affect on him. Reginald informs you and the others that while they were asleep, he woke up this way. He discovered he had gained superhuman hearing, and was able to locate a nearby shack owned by a couple fishermen who would be able to help them.

After what seems like an eternity, you stumble and fall onto the ground. You think you life is over, but to your surprise, you hear a gun fire, followed by the **THUD** of the monster's body falling to the ground. You look up and see two men, one with a shotgun in hand. They tell you that they're a couple fishermen that live nearby, and that you're safe now. They then offer to bring you to their shack.

**It seems your journey is over.**Despite the bear being nearby, everyone shouts to try and alert the boat in the water. You see the bear wake up, but it seems to be intimidated by the loud noise, so it runs away. Meanwhile, it looks like the boat has taken notice to you, and is headed your way.
When the boat arrives, [[The fishermen]] in the boat come out and kindly greet you.In your efforts to sneak around the bear again, Sierra gets a bit sloppy and trips over. This **[[alerts the bear]]**.You figure Reginald's advice is the best chance you've got. You hop in the circle and call Sierra to join you.
The 3 of you, only protected by a circle in the mud, watch the bear angrily approach you. It approaches you slowly with murderous intent, but takes notice to the circle.
Unbelievably, it seems to be deterred by the circle. You are greatful for your life, until you realize that you're not stuck in the middle of the woods, with no sense of where you are.
Sierra seems unbothered by this, as Sierra had wanted to [[wander aimlessly in the woods]] earlier anyway.

The bear catches up to you and Sierra and mauls you both. In the distance you see Reginald sitting alone in his circle, completely unscathed.
