You ask the parents why the abnormal was kept hidden from the village, and why they let it loose in the village.
The parents responded by informing you that the abnormal is their child...they did not want to lose it to exile just because it was a little different than the others. So they decided out of love for their child to create an isolated environment for the abnormal.
But curiosity got the better of it and when they weren't looking it left into the world that it knew pretty much nothing about.

Confirmation 2
Confirmation 3You open your eyes to see that you are in a dimly lit room...
The comfortable surface that you're laying on is a bed.
A sudden wave of light fills the room, someone opened a hatch on the other side of the room and they enter carrying bamboo and a container of water.
(color:yellow)[Shizuru's Mother:
"Morning Shizuru! I brought you some bamboo to eat. Your father isn't here today, he's attending a council meeting so it'll just be me here today."]
That's right...you were told that you were born a crime and your family has kept you a secret from the village.
All you've known in your life is this cold, barren, and dimly lit room. You've never been allowed to go outside and you've never communicated with anyone outside your family.
When you asked your parents why you couldn't leave they simply said that it was not safe to and refused to tell you anything other than it's because of the horns on your head.
In this seemingly endless confinement you learn things about the outside world from your parents, but struggle to grasp the concepts behind the unknowns of the world. What role do the horns on your head play in not being able to go into the outside world? How come you're labeled a crime even though you have never done anything wrong?
Shizuru Backstory 2You burst out of the room, and take off in a full sprint in any direction...
The light from the sun was almost blinding and every sound around you were both mystifying and terrifying.
What was the plan now?
You know absolutely nothing about this world aside from what your parents told you.
You continue running...
You run past other pandas who either run away in horror or others that try to throw things at you in order to stop you.
They begin to shout things like "It's an (text-style:"rumble")[ABNORMAL] someone get rid of it!" or "Run away from the (text-style:"rumble")[FILTHY MONSTER]!!!"
Who are they calling a monster?
Surely they wouldn't be talking about you...
As you continue running, you see an open gateway to the left...
Exile 1 ShizuruDay after day, you experienced the same thing.
You were stuck in a loop of sleeping, waking, eating, repeating.
Enveloped in the darkness, hidden away, isolated from anything and everything you began to feel like nothing.
Day after day this routine became "normal" to you...
That is until one day...
Your mother left the hatch door open when she got called away while dropping off your food
Unsure of what to do you moved closer to the hatch...Closer to the warmth of the light that vibrantly burst into the barren room, making everything visible.
The light touched your skin...it feelt different...comfortable even...
You heard unfamiliar voices right outside of the opening...
This was your opportunity...to choose...
Risk disobeying your mother and father to leave this confinement...
or
Remain shackled to the darkness for the rest of your life...
Shizuru Backstory 3
or
Backstory Loop 1
You try to wait for the voices to fade but they never do...
You decide to give it a go and begin to step out of the hatch, but as soon as you do someone grabs you and starts shoving you down the hatch in an aggressive manner...
You fall back from the sudden excess force and the figure closes the hatch behind them...the darkness once again shrouds over you...

Shizuru Backstory 1
You hear footsteps coming closer...
It smells of bamboo shavings and it feels like you're laying on something...different...comfortable even...
There is only one thing you know for sure this is not your home...
Shizuru Backstory 1As you get through the gateway, you are surrounded by guards...
They stop you, bind your hands and legs, and escort you to a holding cell.
Before you know it you are exiled to the Outer Wilds and your parents are imprisoned for the crime of keeping your existence a secret.
During your first week in the Outer Wilds, you wandered around aimlessly searching for something...anything to call your home.
It began to rain midway through the week, forcing you to run around to find some sort of shelter from the rain.
In the midst of the second week you had finally found a cave to convert into a shelter of some sort from the rain. But it has been a tough, painful road. You have blisters on your paws, you're freezing cold from the rain and cold air of the mountain, and you have not had a decent night of sleep in many days.
One day as you are began to venture around and harvest nearby bamboo shoots for food, you hear a strange noise coming from behind a group of rocks and bamboo foliage, although it was strange it sounded oddly satisfying and in a way homey.
Out of curiosity you decided to go over and investigate, to see what these strange sounds were.
When you walk around to the other side of rocks, you saw another panda blowing into a thin stick of bamboo, which you would assume created the captivating sounds that you heard.
He noticed you standing nearby, and beckoned you to come over and sit with him on the rocks as he created his strange sounds...
Exile 2 ShizuruThe strange individual's name was Roie, he was a normal panda, who had given up everything he had in the village to be exiled with his son who was an abnormal.
These days, Roie travels around the Outer Wilds searching for other abnormal souls to aid.
The strange stick he was blowing into was called a flute, and Roie taught you how to create the same beautiful sounds for the lonely nights up in the mountains of the Outer Wilds.
After another 4 weeks, Roie had helped you set up a new life in the Outer Wilds, one in which you could do anything you wanted, he helped you convert your cavern shelter into a functional home, and even gave you advice in regards to the exile.
(color:yellow)[Roie:
"I know that you are worried about your parents. But do not fret, they will eventually be released from their imprisonmentt because they are normals. I was in the same predicament when my son was discovered and discriminated against. They called him a monster, but I loved my boy more than anything in the world he was the kindest panda that I have ever come to know."]
Roie said his son was...you realize that the reason Roie probably took up wandering the Outer Wilds is probably because he has lost his son...
You ask Roie why he has bothered to help you and why he treats abnormals with such kindness while others treat them like monsters.
(color:yellow)[Roie:
The answer to that question is simple. At the base of it all my dear friend, we are all pandas. We communicate with each other, we love one another, we eat together, so what difference does having a different look make? I treat everyone with kindness, not out of obligation but because you should treat everyone the way you would want to be treated."]
Ending 1 (Shizuru)(text-style:"bold","italic","double-underline","superscript","blink")[(color:green)ENDING //]
A few days have passed since Roie has left and gone back to wandering, his words still resonate with you. Those words have filled a gaping void of darkness that had long since overwhelmed your heart.
You have come to learn that society is not always right.
Behind the false justifications of the old ideologies lie hatred of those that are different.
This abnormality is not something that is a mark of shame or a curse, you realize that it is something that you have come to accept as a part of yourself.

However...after finally seeing one...they look the same as any other panda. Judging seeing it's pain and eyes tearing up you begin to question whether exile or imprisonment is really the route to take.
The council is awaiting your decision...
