You just arrived at a fortune cookie factory in Oakland with your best friend, Mabel. Mabel and you get out of the car and proceed to walk into the fortune cookie factory. Rumors have spread around your class about this fortune cookie factory selling fortune cookies with extremely accurate fortunes. You guys figured it might be fun to go here, especially because you were already in China Town for your group project.
[[Next->Which Fortune]]Shortly after entering the fortune cookie factory. The two of you buy a bag of fortune cookies and head back to your car. Mabel opens the bag and takes the first two fortune cookies she sees, giving one to you, and the other to herself. She places the fortune cookie in her hand. But right before she opens it, she turns to her left and asks you, "Hey Finn? Do you want to share a fortune cookie?"

[[Say "no" and have your own fortunes.->seperate]]Mabel takes a fortune cookie and cracks it open, handing you one half with her left hand and taking the other to eat it for herself. After reading it to herself, Mabel continues to munch on her half of the cookie, waiting to finish. She then reads the fortune outloud.
[[Next->same fortune]]You watch as Mabel opens her fortune cookie. She slowly tucks the fortune into her back pocket and begins to eat the cookie. You look at her with a confused look.
[["Are you going to tell me what your fortune said?"->ask]]
[[Don't ask and simply begin to open your own fortune.->don't ask]]"No thanks!" Mabel replies with a smile, "I don't want to tell you just yet."
In an attempt to be respectful you simply nod.
[[Next->don't ask]] You begin to open your own fortune cookie. Watching the letters unfold before your very eyes.
[[Next->Fortune]]"The one who loves you has been with you all along."
You quickly shove this fortune in your own pocket and eat the cookie before you. "Well?" Mabel asks, "What did it say?" You don't know how to answer this. If Mabel really did love you, you didn't know if it would be right to tell her.

[[Keep it a secret.->Secret]]"Oh, so... you love me?"
[["I'm not sure. I don't know what this means."]]
[["Yes."->Mabel]]"Oh," you reply, "It's nothing really."
"What do you mean 'It's nothing really,'" Mabel asks, "It's obviously clear you are hiding something. Why wont you tell me?"
[["I'm afraid of how you'll react."]]
[["I want to keep it a suprise." *smiles*]]"Well you have to tell me." Mabel replies.
Because you don't want to go through the hassle of arguing with Mabel, you simply agree and tell her the truth.
You read the fortune to her out loud. However, she seems both shocked and excited at the same time.
[[Next->Tell]]Why would you say this to yourself?
You knew deep down that Mabel would be able to figure out what it said eventually, and it could rip apart your friendship if she took it the wrong way.
You wished you had never opened one of these fortunes in the first place.
[[Next->Who is bestfriend]]"You don't know what it means?" Mabel asks, "I'm the only person that fortune could be referring to."
You start to think in your head about your other friend, Michael. He wasn't able to come along to the trip because of family issues. Mabel, Michael, and you have all been good friends for the past year. However, Mabel obviously favors you over Michael.
[["Well, you forgot about Michael."]]
[["Yeah, I guess you're right."->Mabel]]"Michael?!"
"You think you love Michael?!"
[["Yes... and I'm going to tell him.->School]]"The one who loves you has been with you all along."
[[Next->choices]]"huh..." Mabel grunts to herself, "I wonder what that means."
Mabel didn't seem worried about it at all.
But you knew this could only mean one thing.
[[Next->Mabel, Michael, or Neither]]There were only 2 people that you were around practically all the time. These 2 people were Mabel and Michael, your 2 best friends. Either one of them could be the one you loved, and you knew in your heart which one it was.

[["I'm not sure if I'm capable of love. This fortune might be wrong."->Neither]]Startled, Mabel almost seems to freeze up in shock before stuttering and confessing that she loved you as well.
[[Next->Time Passes]]Mabel looks back at Finn in disbelief. Her eyes seemed to be fueled by anger and rage.
"I have spent so much time with you, and you love Michael?" Mabel asks, "Do you ever notice how much I do for you?"

[["Do you love me Mabel?"->do you]]"What?" Mabel replied, almost seeming to jump out of her chair in shock.
"We both shared this same fortune Finn. It means we're supposed to be together."
You understood where Mabel was coming from, but you were confused. You weren't ready for love yet, and she had to understand that. The problem was that she couldn't understand. Mabel kept yelling at you over and over again, telling you how she felt.
In a small nervous whisper, you said to yourself:

[[Next->After buying]]After some time has passed... you and Mabel had been dating for almost a month. However, you tried to keep it secret in order to prevent Michael from getting upset. You know that Michael and Mabel don't necessarily get along very well.
Eventually, Michael caught on. You couldn't keep it secret forever. He confronted both you and Mabel as you were walking down the school hall together. "Are you 2 dating?"
[["Yes"->we are]]
[["No"->we aren't]]"Oh, I mean... I suspected something." Michael said in disbelief, "I just didn't believe it was true."
"Anyway, now might not be the best time to tell you guys this now that I know you are dating, but I can't hold the truth back anymore."
"I love you Finn."
[[Next->reaction]]"We aren't dating Michael," you said. "If we were, I would obviously tell you. You are one of my bestfriends. Mabel is just my other one."
[[Next->dumb]]You turned to your right, looking at Mabel as she let go of your right hand with her left, running away in grief. Michael was looking at you, waiting for a reply to what he had just said, but it startled you too much for you to say anything. "I wish I had never opened that fortune," you thought to yourself.
[[What should I do now?->Who is bestfriend]]"I understand," Mabel replies softly. "But what are you going to do now?"
[[Tell Michael the next time you see him.->tell]]
[[Keep it a secret and attempt to find out if Michael loves you back.->secret]]"Yes, I do," Mabel replies softly. "I'm sorry I yelled at you. I just didn't know how to correctly express my feelings."
[[In an attempt to please Mabel, you tell her you love her back and that what you said earlier was simply a mistake.->Mabel]]
[[You thank Mabel for telling you the truth. However, you proceed to tell her that you truly love Michael.->sorry]]"Don't play dumb with me," Michael replies, "I know you two are dating. You've been spending so much time without me and only together."

[["Okay, okay, you're right."->we are]]"I'm going to tell Michael the next time that I see him. I'm going to tell him that I love him," you tell Mabel with complete confidence.
[[Next->School]]"I'm going to keep it a secret. It's best if he doesn't know for now."
Mabel replies, "Okay, I understand, but you have to tell him eventually."
[[Next->next day at school]]After telling Mabel how you truly felt. She seemed to understand, nodding softly at the fact that you loved Michael and accepting your feelings.
The two of you drive back to your hometown, and you drop Mabel off at her own house before going back to your own.
The next day, you see Michael at school and the seems like the perfect opportunity.
A wave of nervousness surrounds your whole body, but you do it anyway. You say hi to Michael, "I have something I need to tell you."
"What is it?" Michael says in return.
"I love you..." You reply.
[[Next->don't love back]]"Oh..." Michael replies confused, "I appreciate it. I really do. However, I just don't feel the same way. I'm sorry."
You like back at him, just as confused: "No no no, it says right here."
You pull at your fortune as Michael reads the words you're showing him.
"This must be referring to someone else Finn. It's just not me. Maybe Mabel?"
"No," You talk back to him confidently, "I don't love Mabel. I love you."
Michael continues to deny you, telling you that he doesn't feel the same way, explaining how the fortunes might just be wrong.
Your brain starts to jumble, thinking about the choices you made that led to this chaos. It all started when you opened that stupid fortune. You wouldn't have confessed if it were'nt for that fortune you thought to yourself.
[[panicked->Who is bestfriend]] The next day at school you go to a small area behind the library where there's a small bench in the corner. No one really knows this area exists and it usually serves as the spot where you, Michael, and Mabel all go to hangout with eachother. You usually arrive there at around 8 am, but today you decided to get there a little early! Around 7:30 am. You start walking toward the spot and right before you get there, you turn the corner to see Mabel and Michael making out on the bench.
[[Next->notice]]It takes a split second for Mabel to notice you from the corner of her eyes before she quickly pulls away from Michael.
"It's not what you think," she says in desperation.
You quickly begin to feel a rush of anger, frustration, and confusion roll down your entire body. How could this be happening to you? And why?
[[You simply wish you could just start over.->Who is bestfriend]]After buying the bag of fortune cookies from the fortune cookie factory, both you and Michael head back to the car to eat the fortune cookies.
You sit down in the driver's seat while Michael sits down to the right. You open the fortune cookie bag, releasing the smell of the cookies as your hands rip the bag open. You take out one fortune cookie and place it in your hand, offering Michael the other fortune cookie. MIchael politely declines, and you don't force him to take one.
"You bought them," he insists, "You can keep them."
[[Next->thanks]]"Oh, thank you!" You reply back, "So, would you just like to watch me open my own?"
"Yes," Michael says in return.
You slowly open a fortune cookie and read the words on the paper before you.

[[Next->unsure]]Unsure of what exactly this means, you decide to:

[[Keep it to yourself.->keep to myself]]"No sudden moves?" Michael asks in a questioning voice, "Maybe it means that you shouldn't make decisions too fast. Always take time to think, and make sure to analyze the situation before making a choice."
[[Next->Thankss]]"What could this mean?" You think to yourself in your own head.
"Should I take more time to think before I take action? Am I too impulsive?"
You decide to brush it off.
Michael looks at you concerned because you seem to be extremely nervous.
[[Next->Michael replies]]"Thank you!" You reply, "That was actually suprisingly helpful! I'll keep that in mind."
[[Next->Michael replies]]"Should we head back now?" Michael says, "That was our final stop."
"Alright," you reply, "We probably should."
You drive Michael home before heading back to your own house.
You had to get some sleep before school the next day.
Your had to meet up with your two best friends, Michael and Mabel.
[[Next->meeting up]]The next day, you meet up with Michael and Mabel at the usual spot, behind the library, before school starts.
You guys chat for a while until the bell rings. Then Michael and you both get up to start walking to your own classes. Before you get too far though, Mabel runs up to you and taps on your shoulder.
"Wait. There's something I've been meaning to tell you. I just wanted us to be alone for it to happen."
[["I'm sorry. I have to get to class. You can tell me later?]]
[[Sure! What did you want to tell me?]]"Sure," says Mabel. "I'll tell you after school."
You meet with Mabel after school and she brings you the spot behind the library so no one can hear your conversation.
She sits you down and turns your head towards her own. Before you can even say a word, she kisses you.
Butterflies rush through your stomach, you see lights and you're overfilled with joy.
Then it starts to fade.

[[Next->dating]]After a few weeks to think, you finally decide to tell Mabel how you truly feel about her. You've analyzed the situation and taken the fortune's advice, deciding not to make any sudden moves.
You meet up with Mabel afterschool and before you get the chance to talk, she says, "I have really good news!!!"
You had news to tell her too, but you wouldn't mind waiting until she told her news first.
"What is it?"
"I have a boyfriend!" She says.

After a few weeks of dating, the both of you finally decide to tell Michael that you are dating.
The three of you meet up at a restaurant for dinner.
At the table, as the three of you begin to eat, Mabel says, "Finn has an announcement to make."
Michael looks at both you and Mabel confused, "What announcement?"
"Well..." you say nervously "Me and Mabel are actually dating."
"Oh," Michael replies. "That's so great for you two!"
A rush of relief waves through your body. You thought Michael would take it a lot worse.
"So you're okay with this," You question curiously.
"Of course I am! As long as the three of us are still best friends, then I don't care of you guys date." Michael reassures you.
[[Next->the truth]]Everything seemed to be going fine after the dinner was over. You drove Mabel back to her home first, and you were on your way to drop Michael off at his house next.
However, on the way to his house, you caught Michael crying in the mirror.
"What's wrong?" You ask.
"Nothing," Michael replies.
"It's okay. You can tell me," You insist.
"Fine," Michael grunts in an almost angry voice. "The truth is that I was in love with Mabel before the two of you started dating."
All you could feel was regret.
