Memoir
Wake Up #1You eyes feel so heavy but you don’t mind, not a first. You don’t feel the need to arise from the warm mess of things you’ve found yourself in. It’s so warm, so safe, so heavenly to your sleep addled mind. You feel so heavy, so full of something you can’t quite place.
You take a deep breath and let a soft sigh escape your lips. The scent of sweetness walfs lightly through the air, it’s bathed in seemingly everything, lulling you back into the bliss of the warm pile of sheets. Shifting slightly, you feel the warm light bathing on your exposed leg.
Wake Up #2
There’s a feeling bubbling inside you though. You can’t quite place what it is, but it gets louder and louder as you lay there. Your brows are creasing as the signs of a slight headache is forming in the back of your mind.
You hate it.
You hate it so much for ruining this perfect scene. You have a feeling ingrained in you. Do you feel a Wake Up #3 Responsibility to wake you? Maybe you just Wake Up #3 Disregard it. Sleep is lovely after all. You can’t go wrong with that.
Start #2Whatever is nagging you at the back of your mind, you listen to it. If it’s giving you a headache, you might as well address it before it gets even worse.
You try to open your eyes but you feel a frown crossing over your features. It’s so hard to open them. Try as you might, it doesn’t start right away. With a groan and a deep sigh, you force them open. Your eyelids begin to part, slowly, but surely. You see soft little blobs out of your vision. A soft cream color fills your eyes as browns and yellows lavish your senses like watercolors. Everything's so blurry.
Wake Up #4 Responsibility

Sleep is so much more tempting to you. Hopefully if you go back to sleep the pain that’s ebbing in your head might go away. You fall back into the plushness of the sheets below you. You sigh in such content, it’s so soft. It’s not hard to go back to sleep with how heavy you feel and for the most part, the headache drifts away.
A couple hours pass.

Your arms shake as you begin to lift yourself up. You groan at this soreness that consumes your very being. You don’t want to move anymore but there’s this urgency filling you. You manage to pull your body up enough to sit upright as you lean back on a firm headboard behind you. You sigh ever so and will your eyes open again.
The watercolors are splashing over your vision again, but you managed to survive through out. Your vision starts to clear and you can’t help but frown. A sinking feeling consumes you, filling the back of your throat as your eyes dart around the beautiful room.
Start
You wake up to a pounding in your head. You wince in pain, a hand racing up to grasp at it though it does nothing to ebb it away.- Your whole body burns and with a jolt you wake up. You’re panting in bed, a sheen of sweat coating your body. The room is spinning, everything is blurry. It’s such a mess so you close your eyes again, pulling yourself up to the head board.
You give it a moment. You give your head a moment to melt the pain away hoping it would feel better, hoping it would go away. You take a deep breath and you open your eyes again. The room is so sharp, it’s so...messy. You close your eyes again and with a sigh, you try again.
Your breath hitches as it jammes itself into the back of your throat. You feel like you're choking, like your suffocating as you look around the room.
Start
Start #3Your eyes look around, Your expression is filled with this sense of loose.
It’s like this empty void that consumes you and there are so many thoughts pounding in your head but at the end of it, there’s nothing at all. You take a deep breath and close your eyes again. You try to recount what was there, every little aspect of it. But everything seems so blank.
You could be happy that no one was there. Happy that you didn’t look insane as your eyes darted around the room in fear or confusion...but you were also afraid because of it. Where was everyone, where was this?
This bed felt foreign to you. This room felt familiar yet left a pit in your stomach. This world felt wrong yet...familiar.
Start #4

The first thing you do is look down. You're surrounded by these off white sheets, a soft cream as they cascade around you so lovingly. There’s a couple of heavy blankets around you all in browns and creams as well. Your hands graze the headboard that is softly digging into your back. It’s a softly engraved wood in a light color, like a birtch. The MasterBed is large against the wall, all cascaded ever so.
You look to your right where a MasterNightstand stood with a clock and a couple paper neatly stacked on top. Past that was a MasterRockingChair and a cream colored wall with white accents around the border. Trailing down the wall to your side, there was a white colored MasterDoor at the end. It was closed.
Trailing off from there was a MasterDresserMirror looking towards you, showing your form on the bed. Trailing away from that to your left was a wall filled with two large MasterWindows. The early morning light was seeping through it, bathing the bed. In a warm glow as the curtains billowed ever so. To your left was another nightstand with a MasterLamp.

The first thing you did in your panic state was dart your eyes around the room. You looked down to the sheets that tangled along your limbs, the crisp white sheets bathed in sweat. It was a soft material that mattered to your skin, cascading around you in this skin tight fashion. The heavy blankets piled around you were kicked off in your haste for freedom from the thin material. They were browns and creams all around. You hands gripped the headboard that you slammed your back against. It was engraved with wood, a light color. The MasterBed is large against the wall.
You look to your right where a MasterNightstand stood with a clock and a couple of papers tossed on top. Past that was a MasterRockingChair and a cream colored wall with white accents around the border. Trailing down the wall to your side, there was a white colored MasterDoor at the end. It was closed.
Trailing off from there was a MasterDresserMirror looking straight at your disheveled form. Trailing away from that to your left was a wall filled with two large MasterWindows. It was bright out, the bright light bathing the whole room is it stained the sheets in a strong hot glow. To your left was another nightstand with a MasterLamp.

You crease your brows, you don’t know of anyone who could possibly be there.. and the thought unnerves you a bit.
You shake your head, slightly relaying your hand as you turned to the heavy blanket besides you. The lovely fur that was so soft that lined it. You couldn’t help but brush your hand over the soft fabric again. Turning around, you turn to another brown and cream patterned blanket. You couldn’t help but turn it over in your hand only to see an initial at the end of it. It read R.M.G. You couldn’t help but hum lightly.
There was nothing more to see on the bed.

You were so tired. Michael was late today but you didn’t mind. You had a bit of alone time by yourself and despite how tired you where, you were willing to wait for him. You were bundled up in the sheets playing video games after all with your earbuds in your ear.
You hummed tiredly as you played. You were dozing off however and for a moment you closed your eyes, sighing lightly. Suddenly, without warning you feel a large softly lowered on you. Your eyes opened at that only to his face above yours. His smiling face with those bright eyes so happy. So loving.
Gently he lowered the mass of blankets on her and he lowered himself there, sitting on the edge of the bed.
“I told you to go to sleep without you, but I can’t say I’m surprised.”
You both smile ever so.
“Maybe you should sleep now… I’m here after all, and I don’t plan on leaving.”
His smile softens as he looks at you.
/*Goes back to Master Bedroom*//*Memory number 2 of ?? */
You climb up the stairs softly.
You hear the sounds inside. The putride sounds you never wanted to hear to begin with.
You reached the top of the stairs as your hands softly trail the walls, walking towards the door as you see the streams of light flooding out towards the hall. You avoid all the loose boards you knew all too well on the floor as you approach the door. You take a step forwards, your face close enough to the edge to see inside as the light illuminates your tear stained face.
Their both there together, on **your** bed. Their bodies lavishing one another as they tangled their limbs together. Like serpents coiling about in a bout of passion. The creaking of the bed, the sounds of sin coming out of them.
You breath hitched at the back of your throat as you took a step back.
You were so careful, so certain of what you would do, but now you were lost. Your steps where ragged, your movement so unsteady. You take several steps back, forgetting the loose boards as you stop walking, hands covering your mouth as the loud echoing of the creak was heard.
You were so afraid. So utterly afraid.
You ran.

You sitting at the dining table, a hand brushing through your hair. You’re tired and you’ve been working on these papers for hours. It doesn’t feel fair to be doing all this work however you know it’ll all be worth it in the long run.
You so focused in your work that you don’t even look up to see the door open though you hear it faintly. There, you heard the sound of steps coming closer as you then see out of the corner of your eyes something gray sit on the table. You blink for a second as you turn your head.
There, now seated on the table. Is this beautiful rabbit stuffed animal. You reached out your hand to it. It felt so soft under the pads of your finger. You feel so happy touching it and you smile up at him with tired eyes.
“Ray…”
“I know, I know, I’ve been awfully busy with work so I thought I would maybe..give you a friend. You know?”
You smile even brighter at Ray. Your happy. That’s what matters.
And now, you have Lola.
/* Memories 4 of ??*/
You had this feeling of being watched, this awful, no good feeling that possibly Ray is watching you. Knowing him, he probably would.
You look around the room, your eyes darting about as it’s moving over everything, you hands brushing over every nook, every cranny. You then go to the rocking chair in the corner of the room. That old rocking chair he wanted in the ‘nursery’. He was so adamant about that damned nursery.
You see Lola sitting on the chair as she slouches over. Her ever beady eyes looking at everything.
You pick her up, a rage filling you till you look at the doll a little more. It’s Little Miss Lola, your favorite stuffed animal out of all of them. You close your eyes for a second, and harden your features as you dive in again. You turn her around, popping all the little buttons on the back as you go to the dresser with an exacto knife. You open the back up as quickly and as cleanly as you can.
You cry out in rage. Lola wasn’t as nice as you thought she was. Not with that camera looking through her eyes and that recorder stabbed in her back.

“Man, this house must be older than I thought.”
You let out a laugh as you walk towards the old door that was placed on the side. Not too long ago after swinging it open every now and then, it fell off the hinge meaning you and Ray had to buy a new one after a while ago. It was funny to be sitting there calmly on the floor as you lightly bang your head against the wall in boredom as suddenly a loud crash fills your senses and you cry out in shock, seeing that door ever so fall flat on the floor.
“Yeah, but now it’s fixed so we really don’t need to worry about it anymore. We just need to worry about all the other doors in this house.”
Ray chidded as he put around your shoulder, his gloved hand holding you tight as he smiled.
Yeah, what a funny old door that was.

“LET ME OUT!”
“LET ME OUT!!”
“I SAID... LET. ME. OUT!!!!!!”
Your banging your hands against the door as it creaks against the force of your hands. You scream out as tears are streaming from your eyes. You can't help but rub the tears away with the back of your hands as you lift a bloodied fist up and slam it against the door again. The paint is peeling off with the force of your hits and your hands are numb and sore from your countless times you’ve smashed it against the door.
Your so tired.
So Angry.
So Scared.
But to hell with it. He won’t take you, not on your watch.
You exit the room with timid steps. You look around towards the three other doors around you. Your eyes linger to the end of the hall where you can see light from below, some stairs perhaps?

It looks like a simple hallway to you at first glance. The floor is lined with hardwood and the walls have two doors on each side. There are two on the right and two to the left with a staircase going down straight in the middle. Though you don’t remember much, you have some sort of memory towards what they are.

Do you go to the Upstairs Bathroom on the right closest to the stairs? Perhaps you go to the nursery on the left closest to the stairs? Your head starts to throb as you lean against the closeset wall. You close your eyes as the pain begins to grow and then quickly ebbs away. You open your eyes again bit by bit as you open your eyes to the world again.
You remember things you didn't know before.

“You know what this little dresser needs?”
“No, what does it need?”
“I think it needs a mirror.”
You pat the top of the dresser lightly as you look at the new piece of furniture ever so sweetly. It was an antique you bought with a large discount and you where happy you had enough to fix it up and buy it. You repainted it and smoothed it out again with a nice glaze of polish. You where happy at your handiwork.
“Maybe,” You began to say, “I can ask Harvey to help me get a mirror for it.” Ray’s smile faltered for a moment and resurfaced again. “If that’s what you want babe...but maybe, let’s not ask Harvey.”
/* Memory 8 of ??*/
You were backing up to the dresser, his words where shotfire as he rushed towards you. Your back crashed against the hard point of the dresser as your hands clutched the edge for dear life.
“You shouldn’t have been talking to him!”
“It’s Harvey, Ray! Harvey, you know him! He’s our friend. Your best friend!”
“Now you’re trying to twist it on me are ya’?! Your trying to-”
“Raymond!”
His fist launch past your face as it smashes into the glass of the mirror behind you. Your body stiffens up, your stunned. Your legs are weak. They won’t stop shaking as you’re lowered to the ground in your state of shock. Your eyes are wide as you now sit on the ground with your back rubbing against the hard wood of the dresser behind you.
You feel a phantom touch on your skin, your eyes wide looking past it all as you heard him again in such a sickly sweet voice.
“Baby...Baby. I’m not mad. Baby I’m not mad.”
You feel so constricted, claustrophotic as the phantom feeling of his body emcompassies yours.
“Baby, I just want you to know you’ve hurt me...and we can fix this ...you can fix this...together.”
You curse lightly as you lean against the wall once more. Your arms wrap around you arms protectively as you look to the side, your eyes pressed tightly shut as your breath becomes labored. Pain shoots through the back of your skull.
It takes effort for you to open your eyes again. The world is so blurry yet so sharp, so unfamiliar like a dark haze has covered everything once more. You look at the items around you with a chill running up your spine.
Your remember things he didn't want you to know...
It's all coming back to you now.
Perhaps...you should check everything just once more. /*Memory 9 of ??*/
The beautiful fields of gold are melting away like the trees and the grass. It turns into this gray mass, this brightly lite mess. You close your eyes as your head burns for a second, only to open them again.
You see the street below as the tiny figures walk around their daily lives, the rain is pounding against the glass of the window as the lights reflect on the surface. Neon signs from the stores below illuminate the stormy night as cars honk and their headlights illuminate the city. There’s not a single bit of grass, a single tree, a single trace of anything to what you're seeing now.
You blink for a second as you come to your senses again as you look out towards the fields.
Was the grass always this dry and browned?
/*Memory 10 of ??*/
He was by his side of the bed, standing before the nightstand as he looked at you as you screamed at him.
He was driving you mad
Making you feel so sad
You had to do something…
Your screaming, your so hurt by his betrayal. His expression is surprised for a moment, as if he never expected this but it quickly turns blank. There’s nothing there. No sign of anything as he takes a couple steps back.
You feel confident. You walk forwards as you feel like your winning, like your doing something.
If you weren’t so trained on his whole being, you wouldn’t have noticed his arm reach behind him and lift that ugly lamp. Your eyes locked on it, locked on it’s figure as you see a blur of it rush right towards you. Your eyes close as everything feel so heavy. You feel so wet, so warm, so cold, as it drips down the frame of your face.
/* Memory 11 of ?? */
Your laughing so vibrantly as you grip onto Ray for dear life. He’s so sweet, he’s so dear, as he climbs up the stairs with you in his big strong arms.
“Ray! You don’t have to do this! Put me down!”
Ray laughs as he holds your nervous figure closer as he smiles brightly down at you.
“I have to take care of you to the bedroom like this babe! It’s our new house, new life!”
You hold on tighter as your laughing, the corners of your eyes dribbling small droplets of tears, “I thought that was just for the entrance way?”
“Maybe I wanted it to be a little further than that.”
/*Memory 12 of ?? */
“LET ME GO!”
Your screaming as he’s dragging you from your waist, his arms wrapped around from the back as your kicking and screaming. His teeth are tightening around your neck as he growls by your ear.
“It’s gonna be FINE babe, if you stopped your god, damn, MOVING!”
His body tightens around you as you find it hard to breath as your hands scratch against the walls and your heels are pushing into the floorboards.
“HELP! HELP! HEEEEELLLLPPPPP!”

You walk up towards the door, you hands lower towards the handle of it as you lightly twist it. Try as you might, the door won’t budge. However, there’s a keyhole however so you assume there is a key.

You hear the floor boards below you creaking below each movement. It's those timid steps, those cautious ones that seem so familiar. As if, you where running...from something. But you don't know what.
To Be Continued...You lower yourself closer to the ground on your knees as you put your face closer to the opening in the door. The first thing you notice is a very clean, chemical like smell that’s emanating from the room. A cloud of nauseous fumes that roll in waves.
You lower your eyes to the keyhole as you look in.
It’s too dark to see anything but if you didn’t know better, you would have said someone was in there. <<set $memories += 1>>
