You awaken in your tent. Wind and snow buffet the canvas outside as you feel that familiar freezing cold begin to creep in. You should get going soon if you want to reach the summit before nightfall.

[[Boil Water]]A sheet of white extends out in all directions. The only indication you have of where to head is the slope of the mountain.
As the wind howls towards you, you gaze up at where the summit should be. You know that today is your final chance to reach the top but the strength of the winds and snow stir up an uneasiness in the back of your mind.
It's getting colder.

[[Venture up]]You heat up some water on your small stove. As you wait for the liquid to boil you listen to the roaring of the wind outside. It seems to be getting louder.

[[Start]] After holding your eyes closed for a minute or two putting a cloth over your face, your vision slowly returns. Peering through the cloth you can see a small outcropping of rocks shielding a smaller path which veers off the main path.

The path narrows and you find yourself pinned between a high rock wall and a cliff to an endless abyss. Snow buffets you from either side as you slowly inch across the ledge. You spot an ideal looking foothold directly in front of you.

[[Place foot down]]The sky opens out in all directions as reach the final destination of your journey. As you gaze around, you feel as if your vision goes on forever. You see the other white-tipped peaks around you and the valley basin shimmering below. There is nothing quite like this feeling and you exhale in relief, joy, and some other emotion you can't quite place.
You wish you could stay here forever but the sun will set soon. It's time to make your way back down to camp.
[[End->Start]] You hear a rabid snarling from up ahead. You look around but the swirling snow around you hides the source of the sound.

[[Investigate the sound]]As you run back, the snarling hurtles toward you from behind. Fangs glisten and claws slash.
All you feel is surprise as your vision goes red.
[[Start]]As you approach, the snarling stops. You hear a short whimper and whatever made the sound darts away, leaving a trail of footprints.

You take the note.
[[Continue->right path]] As you follow the prints in the snow, they become fainter and fainter. The winds and snow begin to buffet you from all sides, knocking you off course.
Disoriented, you quickly lose your sense of direction as the freezing cold takes a hold of you. Your vision fades.
[[Start]] As you continue walking, you begin to sense the fading daylight. You know you don't have much time left to reach the summit before nightfall. Your pace quickens as you walk towards an open clearing.

[[Slowly walk across]]After what seems like an eternity, you make it across the ledge and the path widens once again. In the distance you can just make out a white glint above. You realize you're nearing the summit. Just a little farther to go.

The cold has taken over your body and feel that familiar numbness spreading from your extremities inward. You feel exhausted and begin to close your eyes.
[[Start]] The path begins to steepen as you make one last push up the side of the mountain. The wind and snow begin to fall back, revealing the light of the sun grazing the peak.
[[Summit]]The snow gets deeper and deeper as you move forward. It begins to take all your strength to put one foot in front of the other as you lift each leg out of a foot of snow. The path has almost completely disappeared.
You worriedly remember the small path you saw earlier. Maybe you should have taken that way instead, but going back would waste precious daylight.
