''BUZZ'' ''BUZZ'' Damn that alarm clock won't shut up will it? Your hands ache from last night's investigative work. All of your notes remain scattered on your desk. You roll over towards the irritating noise that woke you from your slumber, contemplating whether to [[slam the snooze button and go back to sleep]] or [[finally wake up and get out of bed]].

''BAM'' ... ... ... Silence... Sweet sweet silence... And 5 more blessed minutes of rest... [[Maybe 5 minutes more]]... ...No no... Wasn't there something you had to [[do->finally wake up and get out of bed 2]]?

''Tap'' You let a flood of air rush into your lungs, as you look around your room. As the sunlight trickles into your room, the ray of light finally rests on the edge of your poster that says "They are among us" with stereotypical grey alien making a peace symbol. It was so damn cheesy, you just HAD to get it... as a joke of course. But as it aged with everything else in this room, you eventually found it to be endearing. Rubbing your eyes, you groggily tried to recall the state that you left your room in. Your desk is a mess, without a doubt, but surely [[you could not have left your room as an absolute mess]]...right? ....[[RIGHT]]!?

Nothing beats the peaceful sensation of sleep. Your mind is at rest. Your body is at peace. Just close your eyes again and go back to the happy land of dreams. Let [[yesterday's worries]] be forgotten. It'll only just be [[5 more minutes]]...

Of course you wouldn't! You're at least grown enough to maintain a clean living space. Your trash can is neatly filled to the brim with various snack wrappers. You remembered to recycle the cardboard pizza box you got for yourself along with all those empty bottles. The only place that should be a mess is your desk and the corkboard above it, with your notes and photos scattered about on both. And it should be considering the [[discovery you were about to uncover->Discovery 1]].

... ...Aaaand there's all those cellophane candy wrappers from days ago that came from your missed shots at the trash can. Oh and that pizza box that you kept telling yourself to recycle. Followed up by an actual pyramid stack of empty bottles. Your desk seamlesslly blends into the environment that you left your room in, with your notes and photos as scattered on the table as everything else in this room. You have a red string that was connecting a series of photos on the corkboard above your desk. Alright it's not the cleanest, but it could be MUCH worse. After all you consider it to be a small price to pay considering the [[discovery you were about to uncover->Discovery 2]]!

There he is again... that man in a dark business suit with a suspiscious red tie... Alright maybe the tie wasn't that suspiscious. But there is no doubt there was something off with that man. His movement seemed so... stiff, robotic. Like as if he was trying to mimic the way how people walk rather than just... well walk. You remembered that you could have made the bold choice to [[approach]] this man. But you don't know what the context of this situation is... perhaps you should [[wait]]?

You let a flood of air rush into your lungs, as you look around your room. It was so damn cheesy, you just HAD to get it... as a joke of course. But as it aged with everything else in this room, you eventually found it to be endearing. Rubbing your eyes, you groggily tried to recall the state that you left your room in. Your desk is a mess, without a doubt, but surely [[you could not have left your room as an absolute mess]]...right? ....[[RIGHT]]!?

You gather your courage and approach the man with the robotic movement. His face stiffly turns around to meet yours, his eyes wide open. "Greetings..." says the man. Something just didn't seem right about him, but you don't have enough evidence to call him out as an alien (not yet at least). You remember the sequence of events happening so fast. But trying to remember WHAT you did is a bit of a blur. Perhaps you took it slow and approached the man with some [[questions]]. Or did your nerves get the best of you and did you [[outright accuse this man->j'accuse!]]. Or you panicked so badly that you outright just [[punched]] this man.

Well you don't really know what's going on here, after all you grew up around some strange characters in your life. While this man had offputing movement, he hasn't had a chance to demonstrate why he's suspiscious to you... Until now that is. This man starts digging through trash cans, making various clicking noises with his mouth. Upon digging up a child's shoe, his eyes widen, like he never seen anything like it in his life. The clicking noises intensify as the man attempts to stuff a size 3 (US) shoe in his pocket. Ok. This is weird. It's time to straight up [[confront]] this man on his strange actions. Even if he isn't some sort of skinwalker, this is definitely the actions of someone who's going to be on the neighborhood watchlist. Or maybe your sense of danger was going off at the time. Perhaps you kept your [[distance]], while this action is strange, it's only one data point out of many. Maybe it's wise to just keep observing. Or just keep this simple and [[knock this dude out->punched]]. The longer you don't leap into action, the longer the world is in danger!

As you approached your desk you came a across an object that was involved in yesterday's adventure. It's a strange black box that has a hole in the center, which at first glance looked so insignificant that it would have been easy to lose track of it if this was a messy room. However upon closer inspection, the box has one opening that you find yourself staring at. One that seems to break the laws of space. As you try to poke it with a pencil, you lose the pencil inside the box, despite the pencil being longer than the box is wide. It seems like this hole functions as some sort of storage unit? You look into the hole to find a sheer black void staring right back at you. You managed to gain a few pictures from yesterdays adventure as well as some notes. What [[connection]] could this box have the man who dropped it yesterday? Or [[play]] around with the box some more. Maybe some amount of intuition could lead to more answers.

You clambered over the mountain of trash left in your wake from your rabid studying from yesterday. There was something else from yesterday's investigation, but it seems like you forgot where you placed it. There is no way it could be found in the gigantic mess that was made. You sigh and leave it be for now. Approaching your desk, you began to review your notes and photos from yesterday's investigation displayed on both your desk and your corkboard above. You could go over the [[your discoveries so far]]... ...Or is misplacing that object still [[bothering you]]?

To your better judgement, you decide to take it slow. "Hello," you greet back "How are things going?" "Good," the man replies. The air felt as dry as that reply. "Never seen you around here before," you carefully say "Did you move here?" "I was relocated here around the night before," the man answers "It is only my fourth day here," Not a bad start, but these are very bare for answers. You find yourself thinking whether or not an alien would admit that they are an alien. Perhaps you should stick with some simple topics for conversation such as the [[weather]]? Or guide it towards the brass tacks that you were really seeking, such as [[space]] so you could segway it to ALIENS!

"STOP RIGHT THERE! ALIEN SCUM!" The man stares at you and his eyes widen further. He quickly takes a deep breath before shaking his head. "What are you even saying!?" the man says. All of a sudden, the man's movements seem natural and organic. His composure was immediately apparent in his matter of speech. Like everything that you just saw earlier was an absolute lie. "Do you even understand how offensive that is!?" the man says, "That is absolutely uncalled for!" The man turns around in a huff and leaves in a swift stride. You're left in a state of confusion, and also a little hurt from being called out like that. But there could be more to this story... you could [[pursue]] this man. Your eyes don't always lie to you now do they? Or perhaps you ought to [[let sleeping dogs lie]], and fall back... for now.

Leaping back, you give yourself a running start before leaping at this man to deliver a superman punch! Suddenly a red bubble appears around the man, perfectly absorbing your blow. The man releases the bubble in such a manner that it parried your attack! Without skipping a beat, the man pulls out what looks like some sort of stun gun, before shooting a beam that electrocutes you. You feel every nerve on your body immediately go numb as you grit your teeth. The man suddenly reels back with his fist producing a massive amount of fire in a shape of a falcon. Feeling hasn't completely returned to your limbs yet, and you [[don't know if you could dodge this]]. But if you take whatever hit is about to come to you, it might be over as you know it, your brain is mustering everything in your body to [[dodge]]!

You saw this man take that shoe from some person's trash can. Something is not right here. You went up to him and to ask him why did he take that child's shoe. "I am the taxman." The man states. Taxman!? You knew the IRS was merciless, but going through someone's trash and taking a size 3 (US) shoe as payment!? No... it has to be... Aliens! And you caught them red handed. It's time to make the [[accusation->j'accuse 2]]! Okay maybe that's a bit harsh, let's just continue this line of [[questioning->questions]].

Staying close, you decide to maintain your distance... The man takes out a particular black box and begins figeting with it. However he does this with his back facing you, leaving you unable to determine the device he brought out and what he was doing with it. You hide yourself by a blue mailbox, trying to keep yourself hidden as much as you can while observing this man. The man's eyes flash a purple light twice, before a brilliant pillar of light tears through the sky engulfing the man and everything around him. You barely managed to scream before the pillar of light managed to [[engulf you as well->Nightmare Wake Up]].

Using some basic facial matching (in other words, the power of Google Images), the face of the man you met yesterday was in fact Joseph Klazier who is an IRS agent at the local firm that's in your town. With a little bit of extensive research, you find out that "Joseph" was transferred here only 2 weeks ago, around the same time that the cases of vanishing dock workers began to occur. It seems too coincidental. Something is going on, and especially since there's an upcoming concert of the Backstreet Boys Reunion Tour is coming to town, there could be a larger case of disappearances. You thought about getting a ticket to see the Tour, but the crowd at the ticket booth was getting so out of control that the mayor had to warn people to stay inside. Of course that was only a week ago, ever since that announcement everyone stayed indoors. It may be safe to go outside as there might not be as many people. This would be the most optimal time to [[get the ticket]]. But the Backstreet Boys Reunion Tour might be too distracting to your mission. After all you're here to thwart a possible threat to your town, not recklessly party. You could [[observe from a much safer distance]], however you risk being caught by the perimeter security, and that could dash your chances of finding out anything altogether.

This device is so strange, you can't help but play with it. The sleek black coloration as well as the smooth texture gives you the indication that this may be an advanced piece of technology. Or it could be the fanciest paperweight that humanity has ever had contact with. There's a series of golden patterns that is laced throughout the entire box. Within the patterns are a few peculiar circle shapes, which teases your instinct to press them like [[buttons]]. A golden rectangle at the side starts to blink brightly, is that another thing you could [[touch]]?

Using the photos and notes that you have while carefully following the path of the red string on the corkboard, you managed to piece together that this man is an IRS Agent working at a firm within your town. With a few dives through the internet, you were able to determine that this man is named Joseph Klazier, and that he was apparently hired into the firm 2 weeks ago. The red string aroung Joseph's face connects to the date of a news article of the first disappearance within your town... that also occurred 2 weeks ago. That disappearance would be the first of many that would come throughout the two week period. It was mostly dock hand workers that disappeared, which made you suspect the IRS more as their building was located right by the pier. But that always led to the question: What the hell did the IRS want with dock hand workers!? And it didn't answer the question of what was "Joseph" doing with that child's shoe? Tax collectors typically don't collect that... Was there some connection between the child shoe and the missing dockhand workers? ... Thinking about where to begin your investigation, you could start to ask around at the [[pier]].

No! Not like this, you know you can find it! You start flipping everything in the house to look for that object, everything from the tables, the chairs, your mattress! But sadly all to no avail... that is until you spot some blue crab thing crawling out of your room from the corner of your eye. That wasn't always there was it? It must have been sent to retrieve the box from you. That means one of several things: you must be close to the truth, whoever sent that after you is onto you, and that thing that you managed to find must be of some importance! You got to get that box back! Whatever that thing was must have it, and you will [[give chase]]! ...However you briefly recall the 2nd thing that was true, and that if whoever is onto you might be setting you up for a [[trap]]. Then maybe that object isn't worth it if it means you'll be captured.

Whatever that creature was, it made a MISTAKE! You quickly dash out of your room and make a right turn into the hallway in order to exit the front door of your house. Bursting through the door, you spot the little blue critter scuttle down the street with surely enough the black box-like object that you found yesterday. As you sprint down the street, you feel your desire to get that object back harness into your very being. You had to... [[JUST RUN DAMN IT!]]

You are better than that! Being the poor victim of highschool pranks have taught you well when something fishy is going on, and you aren't falling for it! Splitting the blinds very carefully so that you peek only one eye through, surely enough you spot the same car that the mysterious man got into yesterday. You quickly back away from the blinds and look to the first tool to help you in this situation. Is that tool your... [[...homemade EMF reader that was turned into a high powered tracking rifle]]? [[...taser infused, serrated tactical shovel]]? [[...prize winning, non-lethal LEGO Rocket Propelled Grenade launcher]]? [[...stuffed bear Cuddles]]?

Hehe your fingers go tippy tap as you tap the button-like shape on the cube, consequences be damned, you are more focused on what is this thing and how does it work? ...''Brrrrrrrrrrr''... Something within the cube comes to life and it gently vibrates within your hands. A garbled mess of audio started to play from the cube. You don't know the meaning of any of it, but your guess is that it must be some sort of audio recording. Maybe you should press another [[button->Press another button]]? Or try something [[else]]?

You decide to touch the golden rectangle was glowing. The light on the rectangle responds to your touch, and so you decided to swipe the golden rectangle like how you swiped the touchscreen on your phone to interact with it, seeing if it got you anywhere. ...''CLICK''... What was that? You stand a healthy 2 feet away from your desk, the black box begins to vibrate before a handle appears in place of the hole that was in the cube. Upon touching the handle, a series of words flash into your vision "DO YOU LOVE YOUR WORLD?" Umm.... -[[Yes?]] -[[No?]] -[[What the hell kinda question is that?]]

You decide to go and get the ticket, life is too short to not enjoy the things you wanted to enjoy anyways. Yes indeed you are on a virtuous mission to stop a possible threat against the concert goers, but if that threat doesn't show up and you get to enjoy the show, there's no sham in that either. As you stealthily approach the ticket booth, the bored young lady shot you a strange look. You placed down the money to purchase the tickets to the tour. The young lady raises her eyebrows as she checks your cash before reaching over and handing you a ticket. "One ticket for the Backstreet Boys Reunion Tour. Enjoy the show," she says. You were half expecting for her to say that the tickets were sold out, but it seemed like the mayor's intervention was a blessing. As you started to walk away, you hear an explosion not far away from the booth. You look at the young lady in the booth, and she apparently took notice as well. The young lady accompanies you as you both investigate the [[cause of the explosion]] that was approximately one block away from the ticket booth.

You hold steadfast to your values, as much as you would love to see the Backstreet Boys Reunion Tour, your duty to protect this town comes first. Even if no one else believes you! As you start packing for your night time trip, you hear the radio broadcast that an explosion occurred nearby the ticket booth. Yikes, even though there's not many people outside, you hope no one got hurt. Your backpack currently has: -A flashlight -A switchblade -Binoculars -Mace spray -A note pad and pen -Some bags of snacks -A radio -A long distance camera -5 water bottles You take a good look over your arsenal and you decide that you had enough room for one last item for your night time trip to the dock: [[Take your long distance non-lethal, quick firing taser rifle]] [[Take your military grade set of night vision goggles]] [[Take your trusty custom made motion detection drone that is paired with a set of augmented reality glasses]] [[Take your stuffed bear Cuddles, you never know]]

You gasp for air, struggling to breath as your eyes adjust to your present surroundings... You've never been more happy to see this room in your entire life. Feeling your shoulder, you look to see that your stuffed bear Cuddles was reasting there. You take some time to take a look at the present state of your room. Despite the loud ''BOOM'', there's nothing that would indicate that were was an explosion that matched the sound you heard, other than the mess of broken glass from the shattered windows and a sea of pieces of plaster that laid strewn about this hardware store. This hardware store was closed a few weeks back due to the owners seemingly just abandoning the area. Town rumors have circulated that this quickly became a home to the homeless and gangs. However what you find strange is the explosion itself, there are no burn marks, no smoke or fire and any kind. So this wasn't something conventional like a bomb. Was it possible for this explosion to originate from something that is beyond human? The young woman that accompanies you looks at the scene with just as much confusion. You peer into the scene of the destruction, and you could have sworn that you saw something move among some of the fallen shelves in the back... In fact it's actually getting closer! In a split second decision you decide to [[brace yourself and get ready for combat!]] But maybe that thing is just as scared as you, [[so you just relax and try not to make yourself too threatening]]. The "Thunder Cobra" as you like to call it is a taser that you modified when your room mate complained that her original taser didn't have enough range and took too long to reset. Since her birthday was coming up, you decided to make this for her as a gift. Unfortunately she apparently transferred to another university without ever telling you, and so you never had the chance to give the gift to her, hell you don't even know where she is. Oh well, you'd figure you'll hand it to her if you ever come across her again. While her taser functioned like a single shot pistol (which fires 2 electrodes that attach itself to the target before unleashing roughly 50,000 volts), you decided to change that into a long-ranged, bullpup taser rifle. Capable of firing up to 50 feet, it carries up to 15 separate pairs of electrodes that can be rapid fired to ward off multiple targets. It comes complete with a ACOG scope and an automated motor that can retracted that 50 feet of wiring within 6 seconds. You placed the battery that powered this creation in the stock of the rifle to make the weight more managable. You proceed to your [[night time trip]]!

You have a night time trip, why not take night time goggles? You managed to find these goggles at a flea market, sold by an old woman who was also selling a lot of other high grade equipment of dubious origin. The three bodyguards that stood around this woman's shop prevented you from publicly bringing the shop's legality into question. So you simply just selected the goggles and the woman accepted your payment without question. You proceed to your [[night time trip-> night time trip 2]]!

Ah yes, the epitome of your blood, sweat, and tears. While you were fascinated by robotics, you were just too shy to join the robotics club back in your highschool days. When your robotics club came in last place for the 56th time in a row, one of the members angrily threw out the club's drone into the dumpster. You decided to recover this drone and see what you could make out of it. After 17 all nighters, 21 skipped lectures, and 196 trips to various electronic junkyards, you finally rebuilt the robotic club's drone into the drone of all drones. This drone comes with the standard set of 4 propellers, it's camera has been replaced with a modified motion detector that can project a strong signal in 30 foot radius. Using the augmented reality goggles that you made to go with it, once you activate the drone, anything that moves withing the drone's motion detector will display as a neat outline on your goggles. Cuddles has always been with you through thick and thin. You always felt lucky to have this bear around. While most people often out grow their stuffed animals, you kept Cuddles around as a reminder of when life was more simple, and peaceful. The stuffed bear came from a field trip to the Build-A-Bear workshop when you were 6. It felt somewhat unique because you accidently overstuffed Cuddles when you made him, leaving him much bigger than the animals made by your classmates at the time. After so many years later, he's still holding strong, and his presence is often a trigger that allows you to think much more clearly in complicated situations. Forget calling upon a power! That crab thing is MOVIN' and you gotta keep up! No time to think! JUST GO! Your feet slap the pavement as you recklessly pursue the little clawed thief that was in your home. But this thing is... so damn fast... No! You won't let it get away! The crab is just able to stay ahead before it hops into the window of a familiar looking car. ...Wait a minute that car! Just before you could stop yourself, and arm holding a strange gun appears from the window of the car fires a clean shot. Your limp body slams into the front door of the vehicle as you fall over, paralyzed, on the ground. That mysterious man looks over at you before he presses another button on his gun and shoots you again. The whole world goes [[dark->Nightmare Wake Up]]...

Well when you think about it, it's the dock workers who are disappearing, and what better place to get started than investigate where these workers are working? Sunlight always greeted the majority of the pier by warming the wooden deck. Flocks of seagulls immediately part at your prescence as you head towards the warehouse section where you have seen dock workers in that area. There are no ships at the port, as the port has been closed in preparation for the Backstreet Boys Reunion Tour concert. As you pass by a series of metal warehouses, you finally come to the address of 419. This particular building is the management office for the dock workers. You'd figure maybe the management might have some information on any of the missing workers. You climb a small staircase and eventually reach the door of the main office right before you [[gingerly knock on the door]].

Nicknamed the "Ghost Hunter", this rifle was born from a different era of isolation. Originally a home made Electro Magnetic Field reader, you often used this as an attempt to make friends with the paranormal because your mother really wanted you to make friends... although that was not what she had in mind. It was around last month you decided to make a rifle out of it, because why not? You haven't used that EMF reader forever, why not experiment with it? And it was that mindset that resulted into this masterpiece. This rifle is loaded with darts that project radiowaves once it is fired into the target. The EMF reader on the rifle will pick up these radiowaves and react more strongly the closer it is to the dart. However you only made 25 darts because... it was very expensive to make. You look outside and see the mysterious man approach your home. What started off as an impulse buy from Amazon led to the chaotic creativity that was made with your own hands. The tactical shovel was originally... well just a tactical shovel. However after one too many zombie movies, you were left wondering how you would survive in that scenario. At the time you thought about buying a second hand baseball bat and modifying that until you once again came across your tactical shovel. A small grin appeared on your face, and the rest is history. This tactical shovel already came with a glorious amount of survival tools at the users disposal, including a knife, a compass, a slot for water-proof matches and more. However you believed that the shovel failed to account for the situation of zombies and more dangerously: hostile survivors. You decided to make one side of the shovel's blade a serrated edge and you added a taser attachment that can eletrify the entirety of the shovel's blade, which can be activated at the push of a button. With this tool, you believed you would rule the apocalypse! You look outside and see the mysterious man approach your home. In the old days of your lonesome youth, you loved building magnificent creations with your lego set that your mother got for you on your birthday. Your creativity was amplified as you went off to build everything imaginable... and life-size as well. You turned one wall of your room into a Scottish styled castle, you've constructed a life-like model of the human body (complete with organs and such), and made a full size pink Unicorn (which eventually was scaled down because you weren't able to open your bedroom door after building it). You remembered you came across a website that was dedicated to these wonderous blocky creations, and the host of the website started a competition to raise money for charity. Drawing from the inspiration of watching someone created a rubberband machine-gun using LEGOS, you got to work to take that concept one step further. Your LEGO RPG is roughly shaped like it's real-life counterpart, and it is even roughly the same size. It uses a hand pump to build up air pressure within the tank (made of LEGO), which is released by pressing the trigger (that's also made of LEGO). Cuddles has always been with you through thick and thin. You always felt lucky to have this bear around. While most people often out grow their stuffed animals, you kept Cuddles around as a reminder of when life was more simple, and peaceful. It felt somewhat unique because you accidently overstuffed Cuddles when you made him, leaving him much bigger than the animals made by your classmates at the time. After so many years later, he's still holding strong, and his presence is often a trigger that allows you to think much more clearly in complicated situations. Well the first one was a garbled mess, but maybe the second one could mean something? You press it again. And you were presented with... More garbled mess! ... Well it sounds a little different than the last set of sounds you got. That's a start. Something on the cube slides back, revealing a small crystal. A light emanates from the crystal displaying to you two sets of figures in the form of a hologram. You... still don't know what it means. The hologram eventually morphs into a map of a downtown area that is within your town. The hologram slowly zooms into a hardware store that you know closed down because the owners vanish. What does this device have to do with that place? Maybe you have to [[go down there]] and find out? Or [[keep playing with the cube->play]]? It's features do fascinate you.

You know what? There are other features to try out on this mysterious cube besides the buttons. Granted there are only 2 other significant features that actually catch your eye, it is different from the buttons you were messing around with. [[Maybe you could mess around with those?->play 2]]

Well your time on Earth wasn't that good, but it wasn't that bad either. You still have a reason to love this planet and most of it's inhabitants. The news isn't terribly encouraging of your optimism, people are still arguing over random stuff rather than getting together to create solutions. However you are confident that with time, people will come together when it counts. You admit that your upbringing wasn't perfect, it is true your parents fought a lot more than they probably should have. But in the end they found a way to coexist. And that's the real secret to living on this planet, is the fact that everything manages to find a way to live together, leading to the diverse environment that brought you to existance. ... And what of these Aliens from outer space? What to do with them? You only wanted to take such drastic measures to thwart their possibly threatening plan because you felt powerless in the face of this grand scheme that could be beyond your understanding. Honestly now that you think about it? What is this world even good for? You were always pushed away by people, by family... ...by everyone really. There came a point in time where even your mother eventually gave up on you for finding any amount of company from the outside. Perhaps the world treated everyone this way when they first entered, after all you aren't special because you were hurt... Pushed, laughed at, assaulted, punched, kicked, spat on... You came home with so many bruises from the punch that one girl gave you, and the kick the other boy gave you... And even when you stood up for yourself, the schools wouldn't recognize that. They just punished you even more while the other kids suddenly get off unpunished... Home wasn't any better... You parents argued over money, your mom would accuse your dad of cheating, and he would simply raise his voice in response. You feel your fists begin to ball up. The blazing flame that you were taught to hide away, began to flicker in your eyes once more. You were going to show this world that you could be just as merciless, just as ruthless. You were going to become better than everyone else. ... *Inhale* *Exhale* A deep breath brings you back to your senses. Any tears that you may have had have been long gone, all cried away. Your experience on Earth left you with a heart of stone. You reached out to space because you wanted a place of peace, a place away from the planet that hated you. Perhaps it was best to let that go. Let something that's better than human take over Earth. After all, the news was loaded with people abandoning this planet just so they could bicker about problems that seemed progressively more and more petty to you. The human race is just [[not worth the trouble]] to go through to save.

"STOP RIGHT THERE! ALIEN SCUM!" The man stares at you and his eyes widen further. He quickly takes a deep breath before shaking his head. "What are you even saying!?" the man says. All of a sudden, the man's movements seem natural and organic. His composure was immediately apparent in his matter of speech. Like everything that you just saw earlier was an absolute lie. "Do you even understand how offensive that is!?" the man says, "That is absolutely uncalled for!" Except you saw him take that child's shoe! Why would this man need to collect this child's shoe!? //''Silence''// Aha! You got him! The man breaks into a full blown sprint away from you and you relentlessly chase after him. You keep chasing him until you see more people in suits similar to the one the man is wearing. Maybe this was a [[bad idea]] and you should fall back? Nah... what could these people do? They might not even be affiliated with that man anyways. [[Just go get him]].

You decide that you should go after this man! You aren't done with him yet! However you were too caught up in thought. The man managed to get into his car and he started to drive off. Your feet was racing across the asphalt as you chased after the car. You follow the vehicle until it turned the corner ...and it disappeared!? Looking for up and down the street and along all of the driveways right in front of you, you couldn't find any trace of that car. Luckily you managed to memorize the license plate... but that doesn't do that much for you if you don't have the equipment to track DOWN the car. ... ... ... You don't have enough evidence, and being in the direct presence of the person you are investigating will not grant you that particular evidence. In fact you there's a chance you may have made it more difficult for you to gather evidence now that this man knows you are on his trail. Perhaps you should leave him alone and watch carefully from the distance, your opportunity will present itself in time. ... ... ... You ask the man how does he think the weather is? "It's not bad... a bit colder than my home," he said. You nod. "Aurk" ... What? *AHEM* The man quickly hides his face and adjusts his collar. "Forgive me, I coughed." Happens to the best of us... What brought him out here today? "I'm simply here to collect payment," Payment? "I'm a taxman, now if you excuse me." The man starts to walk away from you and continues on his path. Perhaps you should [[pursue]] this man? Or just [[let sleeping dogs lie]]?

You decide to ask this man about space. Specifically the formation of stars. The man chuckles. "I can't say I have any knowledge on that subject." Oh really? You pointed into the sky and asked him what that star was. "Oh that's easy, it's Pellastios XVII," You would have bought that explanation, if it wasn't for the fact that it was 12pm in the afternoon in broad daylight and that due to the nature of light pollution, you can't see the star that you somehow managed to point at randomly in the sky! The man was taken aback by this revelation. He quickly decides to sprint away and attempts to escape in his car! Should you pursue this man! If so, the [[After him->Just go get him]]! Wait a minute... Are those people wearing the same suits as him? And where did they come from? Why are there so many of them? Maybe pursuing might be a bad idea. Long story short, you couldn't dodge that. The man throws the most powerful punch you have ever seen in your life. The falcon shaped fire roared as the force of the power rips through your body. Your body flashes as you rolled past this man! You quickly grab him before bouncing him off the ground with one of your down throws. This man flies through the air briefly, before managing to roll on his landing, taking no damage at all. He continues to hop at you while kicking once at every hop. You groggily open your eyes as you woke up and looked around your room. Who was calling to you? "Hey!" You look around again, unable to locate the source of the sound. You look around your room and there was nobody else here but you. Strange. Well whatever it was woke you up anyways, [[time to get up->finally wake up and get out of bed 2]].

Your eyes try to follow this slithering shadow as you relax your stance and crouch on the ground to lower your prescence. You watch the thing dart into the collapsed paint section, knocking around a several large paint cans and spilling it's colorful contents to the brush section underneath. "It" then bolts across the floor into the plywood stacks before making a bold jump into the hammer shelf, effectively knocking off half the claw hammers that were on the rack. Watching the spacing between you and the creature, the distance is rapidly closing. The paint section was roughly about 23 feet away from you, fast forward to the hammer rack which is only a mere 13 feet away. You see the cash register get knocked off the table, 8 feet remaining... The shattered remains of the flourescent bulb makes a light series of crunching noises, 5 feet remaining... You can make out the shadow of the figure as it closes in on you, 2 feet remaining... AND IT [[LEAPS]]!

You didn't know what to expect when it comes to approaching wild animals, especially one you never encountered before. But perhaps this wasn't it. You fell over on your rear, taken by surprise by the speed and the mass of this odd creature. "It" had the head of a frog, but with the functioning body of a lizard. As it sails over your head, you watch it land with an audible "plop" right in front of the young woman, whose confusion delayed her reaction as she attempted to catch this creature once she saw it make a beeline towards the ticket booth... ...or rather the closed cinema behind the ticket booth. Making a heroic dive like a goalkeeper in the final seconds of a soccer game, the woman leaps with both of her hands outstretched in an attempt to catch this rotund reptilian creature that shot it's way across the street! ...However the initial delay was too much, and the tip of the creature's tail barely slips through her fingers as it squeezes itself underneath the door into the cinema. "Damn it..." you hear her utter as she brushes herself off. As you get up to approach cinema, the young woman stops you. "Don't worry, I'll handle this," she says You're not terribly sure what just happened, but you want to insist that you can offer her [[assistance]] in catching that thing. You don't know if that thing was the cause of the explosion or not, but you don't want this woman to be the next victim to find out. However this woman has demonstrated a strong level of athletic ability, maybe she's right. Perhaps the first appearance of that creature took her by surprise, but that would be the one and only time that would happen. She definitely won't let it get away this time. Besides [[don't you have a mission of your own to attend to]]?

You insist that two heads are better than one, and that the both of you can nip this in the bud much faster. The young woman sighs and shakes her head "Fine, the more the merrier I suppose. I'm Gloria by the way," You introduce yourself to Gloria. "Well nice to meet you," Gloria says "First things first, let's head back to my car. I've got a couple of things for stuff like this," While you're not terribly sure what that could possibly be, you nod and accompany her back to her vehicle. You just had to ask what on earth did she mean by "stuff like this?" "Ever since the town closed the cinema, kids have been figuring out how to break into the place because they think it's 'haunted' or something," she explains "All I was told by my boss was just to keep this place in a reasonable condition so that the reopening process would be simple. But they didn't leave me anything for situations like break-ins so I had to resort to this..." She presents an ash wood baseball bat. You suddenly feel pity for anything that has crossed her path. Passing one look at your reaction, Gloria chuckles. "Oh come on. I haven't hit anyone with it... yet. It's just a good deterrent to get people to leave." But does she need this bat for this strange lizard thing? "Maaaaybe. You never know these days," Never know!? Although granted you ARE investigating for aliens infiltrating the town government and making people disappear, you want to know what her [[reasoning]] is.

After witnessing that scene of events, you quietly nodded and decided to head home. You catch the woman pulling a baseball bat from her car trunk out of the corner of your eye as she heads back towards the cinema entrance. ...Once you return home, you make a few adjustments to your night time trip the concert. Had this concert taken place at a larger venue, you probably would not have been able to sneak in any bag at all. But it seems that luck is on your side and you are able to take your bag with you. You had to leave some items behind to follow the venue rules. Your backpack currently has: -A glowstick -Binoculars -A note pad and pen -Some bags of snacks -5 water bottles You take a good look over your arsenal and you decide that you had enough room for one last item for your night time trip to the concert: [[One can of Lacroix]] [[One can of Old Spice body spray]] [[Take your stuffed bear Cuddles, because why not?]]

It seems like you still had a spare Lacriox laying around. You originally bought it because you were curious on what it tastes like... and you very disappointed. Although you guessed that this sparkling stuff would be useful for people who wanted the carbonation, without the unhealthy nature of soda. Perhaps you still have a use for this carbonated beverage. You originally bought this spray because you thought you could hold out for at least a few more days while you were covering another case... and one good sniff told you how wrong you were. "Huh, I guess you must be into aliens too huh? Well he told me that the documentary was complete a while back and he was gonna make a movie out of it. The cinema was going to premier it here... but then it got closed down," Hmmm... What a coincidence. "I've been trying to call him to tell him the bad news, but he hasn't been picking up the last few days. I just hope he's ok." she sighed. The two of you wander into the main theater of the cinema and finally found what that creature was crawling towards "Holy crap..." Holy crap indeed... In the center of the theater was a massive slimy looking reptile that looked exactly like the creature from earlier. Except it was FAR bigger. The room vibrated as this creature opened it's mouth! "Come in," You enter an old office with a window that overlooks the loading area of the dock. The old man at the desk bears a large scar on his face. His beard almost obscures his mug as he takes a sip while staring at the window. On his desk, there's a name plate that reads "Anton Fischer". "So you're here about my missing workers?" [[Yes]]

"Hmph. You wouldn't be the first, the police have been on this case for about a few weeks? What makes you think you can do better?" Well you know the REAL source of these disappearances... "Really?" he says as he raises his eyebrows Well okay, maybe not KNOW, but you have a prime suspect The old man shakes his head and chuckles "Well before we get too ahead of ourselves, I should at least introduce myself. As this name plate states, the name is Anton Fischer. I've been working as a manager for this area for about 20... 22 years. In all of my time working here, I've never seen anything like it." Anton rubs his forehead before continuing "These workers... they aren't lazy or anything y'know, it's just strange that they just vanish like that." You ask Anton if he knows where any of these workers were last seen. "Unfortunately no. While I have no problems with any of my employees, I'm not particularly close to any of them. So I frankly have no clue where they could have gone. Unless..." Unless? Anton shakes his head "Don't worry about it. Why don't you show me who you think might be behind this?" You decide to show him [[a picture of Joseph Klazier]]

Well the Backstreet Boys Reunion Tour ticket booth isn't terribly far away from that particular hardware store, so you could just pick up the ticket that you need to get and visit the closed place. What if there were no tickets left? After all the mayor called for everyone to stay inside because the crowd got so out of control at that ticket booth. But it is the [[Backstreet Boys Reunion Tour->get the ticket]], you wouldn't just pass up that opportunity now would you?

A look of horror overtakes Anton's face as you presented him the photo of Joseph Klazier. Anton rises from his desk and swipes the picture from your hand. His hands are shaking violently and a brow of sweat appears on his forehead. You didn't think this photo would draw out such a reaction from someone, you take a few precautionary steps back. ... After a moment of silence, Anton looks up at you. "W-where did you find this photo?" You calmly told him that you took this photo yesterday. Anton sharpens his gaze at you "That can't be possible! This man should have been dead years ago!" Uhh... what? "Just wait, I'll show you," Anton goes behind his desk to a couple of cabinets and takes out a small tin box. Upon opening the tin box, Anton shuffles through some old polaroid photos before coming across one that contains a group of people sitting in front of a porch. Among that group, there was one figure that strongly stuck out to you, and that figure beared a striking resembalance to your photos of Joseph Klazier. "That's him right there," There's... no way. You point out how that could be Joseph Klazier's father. "Nonono. Just look closer, right here." Anton points at cheek of Joseph on the polaroid and compared it to your photo. "See that scar?" Surely enough, there was indeed a small scar located on the upper cheek of Klazier's face, right under his eye. Unless Klazier Senior stabbed Klazier Junior in the face as a baby, both of these figures in these pictures have to be the [[same]].

But what was the meaning of this? How was this possible? And what did Anton mean that Joseph was suppose to die "years ago"? All of these questions, and yet no clear answer. Anton clears his throat before he begins "It all started about 27 years ago, my family was pressed for money and they had to recieve 'protection' in orderkeep their store open." Protection? "...It was the mafia." Oh "My parents struggled to keep up with the mafia's prices, and eventually I was forced to join the them so that my services would reduce the price my parents had to pay. That was where I first met Joseph, he was the one who gave me the orders on where to go and what to do." So when did he last see Joseph? "I... hated the life of being in the mafia. When my parents organized their plan to leave, I had to find a way to cut ties in such a way where they wouldn't come looking for me. I agreed to take part of a sting operation where I led most of my group to the sewers thinking we were going to fight a rival gang. The police managed to arrest everyone including Joseph, while staging my 'death' to get the mafia off my back. A few weeks later, they announced Joseph's execution." Well clearly THAT didn't work due to the recent evidence. "I know. I know. But I warn you, this man is dangerous. How he managed to stay so young, I do not know. But if he is anything like he was back when I knew him, he is not someone who you should cross." That's pretty sinister sounding for someone who collected a child's shoe. "It's necessarily the actions he makes, it's the connections he has. And I fear that he's using those connections to find me." But what about Anton's parents? "They lived the rest of their lives free from organized crime. They passed to the afterlife in peace." You take a careful consideration of the situation. While you should look for the missing dock workers, if they went missing at the hands of the mafia... they might be gone! Meanwhile you are left with Anton who is definitely a high profile target, perhaps it's better to take preventative measures and [[help Anton]].

You tell Anton that you will help to get him away from this town. Anton shakes his head and lowers himself to open a large cabinet. After a few clicks, Anton opens the cabinet and comes up procuring a Tommy Submachine Gun with a several drum magazines. "A relict from the past, I never thought I'd have to use it ever again." You try not to question why in the seven sam hells this man has a fully functional, automatic sub-machine gun in his work office. Although all things considered it must be a testament to how paranoid he was of the mafia coming to look for him, despite his faked death and all. Anton looks at you apologetically as he hands you a small 6 chambered revolver. "I'm sorry, it is all I have left." You accepted the gun while reassuring Anton that you have another trick up your sleeve since you brought your... [[...Flex tape]]! [[...Floppy banana]]? [[...Cuddles, your stuffed bear]]

But he acknowledges that it is a good product for stopping leaks... but troublesome if you aren't able to get the pieces off correctly. Anton looks out the window, he gives you a look of warning. You unleashed your flex tape on the door, which firmly blocks up the door. After a several loud crashes, Joseph was finally able to break through the door. However his face is covered in splinters and a piece of the door is sticking out of his shoulders. That's a lot of damage. You find yourself in the middle of playing a knock off video game called Crudely Crash Sisters. You must've have been daydreaming or something, which makes sense, after all you are really young. Your mother comes your room and tells you it's time for dinner, which you pause the game and get up to head downstairs. You wonder what got you daydreaming like that. You reach forth to the handle that beckoned to you. The handle, to your surprise, detaches itself from the box. The handle forms itself a bit differently around your hand, creating what looks like a pistol grip. But instead of this thing functioning like a firearm, it produces a blade? It's a blade of light as well... Strange. But invigorating. How will this be of any use to you, you have no idea. The box violently produces a hologram projection of the pier. You aren't sure what this means but perhaps something may happen there. Whatever it is, you are [[going to the pier]].

You decide to tug on the handle, wondering what this would do for you. To your surprise, the handle came off and you fell over on your bottom. A little light at the handle twinkled and produced a shining blade of light from the handle Ho. Lee. Crap. This box just gave you a space sword. Or a light saber? Whatever it is, it's incredible! But you are also not sure how you would use it. The box begins to hum violently projecting a hologram image of the pier. You know where that is! Is something going to happen there!? You are going to [[find out]].

What is this thing even asking!? Do you love your planet? Well to be honest you've had a pretty mixed experience with this place. In your early childhood, your home was occasionally a battleground between your parents. Your awkward nature left you as the butt of many jokes throughout elementary school all the way through highschool. As a result, you never really liked to socialize with anyone. However you found joy in other forms of creativity that earned you a high amount of praise... at least on the internet it did. You won first place in building a functional LEGO Rocket Propelled Grenade launcher for a LEGO charity competition. Your blog posts about the extraterrestrial was often cited by enthusiasts for having impressive content and for being very well written. You even won first place in a Crude Crash Sisters tournament in a 5 game set versus TKGeo, one of the best players in the world. But to have all of that answer on whether or not you loved your planet... It was all a bit much. And to be honest, you don't really know. You watched the handle on the box sink right back into the chasm to which it came from. Leaving you with the empty void that was originally there on the box. You head down to the pier to figure out what on Earth did that hologram mean. And surely enough there it was, a UFO was present. And out of it came the mysterious man that you met from yesterday. He sees the handle that you are holding... and his eyes widen in fear. You tell him to relax, you didn't come here for war. The man adjusts his collar before speaking, while he spoke in your language, you can faintly hear small audio crackles in his voice. Looks like he's using a translator of some kind. "I see you have found the Star Slayer," He says this as if he anticipated for you to find it. Didn't he drop the box by accident? "Indeed I did, however the curious nature of humans always exposes the location of such objects in the end. I was never that worried about it." Mhm... Who is this man? Before you got your answer, you watch a much more imposing figure step out of the ship. The mysterious man stepped out of the way, opening the path for this grand figure. It was a figure of golden light, that was wrapped in an ornate robe. The figure vibrates as you hear a chorus of voices echo in your head. "Your pain... we feel it, this civilization has fallen too far. Let our methods ease this pain." Methods? What do this figure mean? "Our methods will turn this planet into an excellent training ground for the collective." ... "Once the training is finished, the planet will be annexed and the remaining life forms will remain under our protection. Wielder of the Star Slayer, will you join our cause?" Well? What do you say? You head down to the pier to figure out what on Earth did that hologram mean. And surely enough there it was, a UFO was present. And out of it came the mysterious man that you met from yesterday. He sees the handle that you are holding... and he looks at you with intrigue. "I see you have found the Star Slayer," He says this as if he anticipated for you to find it. Didn't he drop the box by accident? "Indeed I did, however the curious nature of humans always exposes the location of such objects in the end. I was never that worried about it." Is he sure that there was nothing to worry about? You are literally holding something called the STAR SLAYER. It's not like that was dropped pocket change! Before the man continues talking, he is silenced by the appearance of a golden figure. A chorus of voices echo throughout your head. "Do you wish to seek peace?" You slowly nod. You take one good look at that UFO and the technology that went into that will out perform whatever present technology humans have now by a hundred fold. "Then what will be our benefit from it?" ...Of course they would ask that. You decide that having us be observed would be much better, since the consequences of interference would be catastrophic for not just the human race, but possibly for the environment on Earth. It seems like the blade that you wield is an excellent bargaining chip, because the golden figure appears as if they were actually taking that offer into consideration. ...Wait why are those cannons on the UFO aiming at you!? Hmm. So that's what happened to all the dock workers. ... Fast Forward 5 years later ... The wars that you took part in against humanity were fast and fierce. Your understanding of the world allowed for the visitors to make optimal strategies when engaging all of humanity in combat. You even participated in some battles due to the powers given to you by the Star Slayer sword. You stopped missiles in the air, you sliced through tanks like butter, you cut your way through all of humanities pitiful defenses. All of their conflicts against themselves clearly costed them, as your forces completely overwhelmed them in terms of power and speed.
