Dark matter

**PLEASE DO NOT USE TWINES BACK BUTTON** It's your families yearly vacation in your the family beach house. It's a small house with three small bedroom all compacted together. Two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. Downstairs there is a master bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a small living room. The house is a 5 minute walk to the rocky northern California beach You're laying on your bed browing the internet on your phone You get restless and decide you'll head [[downstairs]] [[Put on something warmer to wear]]

You grab your wallet and as you head downstairs there's what seems like a huge earthquake and absolutely everything goes dark. The light just seemed to instantly vanish. Look out the [[window]] You have no idea what just happened **What about my family**. You panic because you have to idea what happened to your parents and sister downstairs. Check on your [[family]]

You put on a puff down jacket over your T-shirt and switch your basket-ball shorts for some denim jeans. go back to [[//room//->Start]] (set: $warm to true)

It was previously dusk, but the sunlight seemed to just disappear. look [[//back//->downstairs]]

You're in the middle of the living room I'ts quiet, too quiet go to [[kitchen]] go to [[bathroom]] go to [[master bedroom]] go to [[upstairs]] try to open the [[front door]]

You enter the kitchen you see a [[counter]] and the [[electrical box]] in the back of the kitchen go to [[living room]]

You stumble downstairs in the dark and yell out to see if anyone responds *There's no one here* You look around and all of the windows are blacked out and you can't see anything. You have to get out, but how are you going to? Now [[//what?//->living room]]

You walk into your room and see [[your bed]]. and the pile of belongings you have on your [[dresser]]. back to [[//hallway//->upstairs]]

You walk into the bathroom. There's nothing here except some fresh towels. You were going to take a shower earlier, but it kind of escaped you. You turn on the [[faucet]]. back to [[//hallway//->upstairs]]

Your sister's room looks lived in. Your family has been in the house for a week now and leave it to my sister to make a room that is only used once a year to look over used. Her beds undone and she has clothes and makeup scattered everywhere in the room. The room smells like the chemicals of freshly painted nails. She has a [[basket]] where she keeps some of her stuff. You look an her desk she has a picture of our family. go to the [[//hallway//->upstairs]]

You try to look outside, but you can't it's way too dark. It's as if there was a soup of darkness encompassing everything outside of the house. go [[//back//->walk in]]

(if: ($hairpin is true) and ($screw is true))[You use the hairpin from your sisters room and the screw driver from your dads tool box to pick the lock to your mothers nighstand. You [[open]] it.] (else:)[The nightstand is locked shut and you can't get in without the key, but your mother always had the key on her. There must be another way to open it. It's a big bed very firm and slightly tinted because of the age of the bed and it's sheets go [[//back//->walk in]]

Maybe if you could find the key to the house you can get out, but you don't have the key. go [[//back//->living room]]] (else:)[At last you can finally get out with the key. You insert the key into the lock and twist it. The lock clicks. The door opens. walk [[outside]]]

you look around and see the [[king bed]] in the middle of the floor a [[sliding glass]] door in the back of the room and your mother's [[night stand]] return to [[living room]]

(if: $wallet is false)[You try the doorknob, but it doesn't budge it's locked. go [[//back//->living room]]] (else:) [you use a credit card in your wallet and slide it between the crack of the door and the door frame to slide the bolt of the deadlock and open the door. You [[walk in]]]

You get outside and look around. It's dark, but not just dark there's a thick fog of somekind of black dust filling the air. All of the lush greenery that used to be in the area is dead and rotten making the air smell pungently of rot. [[breathe]]

The bed looks super comfortable and very tempting to sleep on. go [[//back//->your room]]. or [[sleep]]

You get in and lay your head on your pillow. your eyes get heavy and you fall [[asleep]]

You dream of an eclipse, of screams, and of mass hysteria, of [[panic.]]

water rushes out, but it's not just water it has a black tint to it. You quickly turn it off and watch the night black liquid swirl down the drain. The water smells like organic waste almost like rotting vegetables. This is weird to you, but you still need to find a way out of the house. go [[//back//->upstairs bathroom]]

(if: $key is false)[You look into the nightstand drawer and see your mothers readers digests she would read every night. Next to them you can see the key to the front door pad lock and pick it up. You take a breath and start coughing. The dark matter fills your throat and immediately starts to clog it. [[run]]

you try to run back but you can't the pain is too much (if: $knife is false)[you stare back into the house as the dark matter fills the building. It starts to fill the only place that you could take refuge [[blink]]] (else:)[You remember you have a knife and you can use it to end your life before the dark matter suffocates you to death. You put the knife up to your neck and [[slice]]]

You blink slower and slower as your breathe runs out. You die a painful suffocating death

You wake up. You thought you ended it. Is this heaven? you think to yourself. You look around and see that you're still near the front door of the house. You feel your neck and realize that something has clotted your artery from bleeding out. The only thing that remains is a black pulsing scar with a hole on your neck remembling a stoma. As you breathe the black matter filters out of the hole preventing you from suffocating. [[turn]]

You turn around and see the house is filled with the black matter. There's nowhere to go but [[forward]]

(if: $warm is true)[You go forward looking for any sign of life. To look for your family. You spend the coming weeks looking, but to no avail. You can't find anything alive. You spent this time jumping from house to house eating canned food and bottled water to survive. The darkness is everywhere it's like an eternal night. You eventually look through every house in the area and give up on your family. You leave the small beach side town in a car you find and drive [[//away//->good]]] (else:)[You go forward looking for any sign of life. To look for your family. You spend the coming weeks looking, but to no avail. You can't find anything alive. You spent this time jumping from house to house eating canned food and bottled water to survive. The darkness is everywhere it's like an eternal night. You eventually look through every house in the area and give up on your family. You leave the small beach side town in a car you find and drive [[//away//->bad]]]

You drive down the road for a while and eventually come across a house on the side of the road with the lights on. You stop the car in front of the house. And knock on the door. You stand there for a few minutes. Out of nowhere someone opens the door and grabs you and throws you to the ground slamming the door as quickly as he can. He did this so he could prevent the black air from getting in. You look up and look around there's a few people around you. You see your family in the crowd.

You drive down the road for hours trying to find the next nearest town. You learn that all of the black matter is the result of a mass spread disease found in all vegetation. The disease was found on the western seaboard of the United States so they were to first to experience the darkness. The evaporated vegetation caused a fog that was so think it blocked out the sun. The matter eventually started to spread outward and within hours it filled the earth's atmoshphere. Anyone that breathed the matter was suffocated within minutes and decomposed within minutes because of the disease. That's probably what happened to your family. But what else can you do, but move on and try to survive in this dead bleak world. The end.
