Sir Iwart's Castle Escape(click-goto:?page,"Story")Tis the year 1453. Your name is Sir Iwart III. You are the king of your kingdom of about 400,000 citizens made up of peasants, lords, and ladies. You enjoy hosting royal parties at your castle to flaunt your riches.
One night, after one of these parties has come to a close, however, there is an attack from an enemy kingdom! All of the guards you once relied on are all gone. They have betrayed you, as you never payed them their fair share. Now, you must fend for yourself!
You quietly open your bedroom door to hear sounds of distant screams. There is no one in sight, for now. You look to your left and to your right. On the left is a long hallway, and the right beholds a grand staircase leading to the foor below.
(text-colour:blue)[[NEW OBJECTIVE: ESCAPE THE CASTLE->Beginning]]You are currently in your bedroom. Which way will you go?
[[Left->Left 1]] or [[Right->Right 1]]You decide to go left towards the hallway. You never really noticed how long it was until this dreaded situation. You quietly tiptoe down the hall. You pass closed doors along the way, hoping none of your precious valuables are stolen by the siege. It doesn't look like any enemies made it up to this floor yet. Finally, you reach the end of the hallway. You see your prized sword on the wall, which you slide in its sheath and sling around your shoulder. You are now ready to fight if needed. Onward!
[[Left->Left Staircase]] or [[right->Game Over]]You choose to go right and approach the staircase. Luckily, it leads closer to the castle's exit than the hallway does. You end up on a storage floor, where more of your valuables are kept. Statues, artifacts, and precious stones and crystals line the walls in glass containers. You hear a low murmur, and notice two enemy guards talking at the bottom of the staircase with their backs facing you.
(text-colour:red)[[[Sneak Attack]->Sneak Attack]]You grab your trusty blade from your coat pocket, and stab both enemy guards in the back. You are now on the storage floor. The way towards the exit is to the left, storage rooms to the right.
[[Left->Left 2]] or [[Right->Right 2]]You go left and reach a wide area of the floor, scattered on the ground are some documents, a map of the castle and its surrounding gardens. You tear it apart in anger. You hear a noise to the left.
[[Left->Noise]]Even though there are enemies in your castle trying to kill you, you don't decide to head towards the exit. Instead, being a greedy king, you dash to the storage rooms on this floor to see if your belonging still remain. They do, since most of the enemies haven't reached this floor yet. Maybe you should escape now...?
Keep looking at [[storage rooms->Storage Rooms]] or head towards [[exit->Exit]]You are literally in danger! you should really escape while you can before its to late. I'd advise you head back towards the exit before its too late...
[[Continue forward->Game over 2]] or [[head towards exit->Exit]]You head back towards the way to the exit. There is another smaller staircase, no one is there to you walk down it.
[[Left->Left 3]] You are really something else... You hear the voice in your head say. Suddenly you have a gut-wrenching feeling in your stomach as an emeny guard with a shimmering sword grabs your arms. You fall and hit your head on the floor, knocking you unconscious. You were sold overseas.
GAME OVER
[[Shouldn't have been so greedy...->Title Screen]]You decide to go left, where there is another hallway. It appears enemies have not made it up to this floor yet, but they are probably on lower floors. There is an open window at the end of the hallway.
[[Approach window->Window]] or [[head back->Left 1]]You decide to head right. You notice a storage room door is slightly ajar. You open it and see a someone in your servant's uniform hiding in the corner looking distressed. You, being pompous and inconsiderate, ask why they are on this floor and not looking for guards to protect you. He looks you in the eyes and screams in anger and annoyance from being treated so poorly by you over the years. Enemy guards are alerted and find your location. You were sold overseas
GAME OVER
[[Play again?->Title Screen]]You approach the open window. The cool, night breeze brushes across your face. You look down, and there is a small landing above the floor below's balcony. You think to yourself that you could make the jump. Keep in mind there might be enemys wandering about the lower floor.
Climb out window or [[go back->Left Staircase]]You approach three enemies conversing. They easily notice you with your gaudy attire. They walk towards you and hit you over the head.
You awake dizzy and in pain on the back of a carriage in an unknown forest...
GAME OVER
[[Try again?->Title Screen]]You reach the bottom of the staircase where you see two enemy guards. They attack you as you were too loud.
GAME OVER
[[Try again?->Title Screen]]You begin the descent down from the window and realize this is most likely your only means of a discreet escape. You end up scaling down the whole castle, reaching a carriage and a horse by the castle gardens. You escape.
SUCCESS!
