As you wake up, the smell of fresh crispy bacon seeps through the (link: "kitchen.")[kitchen. With your dog tag swaying, you walk over to the kitchen to see Bailey, your 24 year old owner, smiling as she see you. You're smart so you proceed to giver her the puppy dog eyes that no human can resist and wingle your tail as she feeds you some.]
Bacon day means its sunday! You start to jump around with excitement. Afterall, you are going to the dog park to meet your fellow dog friends.

As you walk in the streets of New York, you notice the same places you have walked passed every Sunday. The Anderson Bakery with the old sweet lady, the antique store, the starbucks and the bookstore.

Lulu, the old chihuahua, Biscuit, the young poodle, and Marcus, the athletic star bull dog, all approaching.] Bailey trusts you, so she unhooks the leesh and proceeds to talk to the other dog moms. You play and talk for 20 minutes before you notice something.
You see Hunter, the aggressive and hostile german shepherd, enter the park. You and your friends keep your distance as you despise him from afar. You have had a few flights with him in the past but you decide to keep things civil.
After a while, he makes eye contact with you and proceeds to grab Bailey's bag while she is not paying attention. He's onto some mischief.

He starts to pick up the pace himself and runs out the park with the bag. You hesitate for a second since you are not supposed to leave the park. Yet you are determined, so you continue to run after Hunter into the streets of new york.

You play for a little while more with your friends. You're playing hide-n-seek with others when something crazy happens. You are behind a tree waiting for lulu to sniff you out with her almost nonexistent sense of smell. She's old old.
An old lady hooks her leesh onto your collar and starts to pull you out. You freak out. Who is this lady and why is she dragging me with her? You start to bark loudly to ask other to help, but they are way to focused on wining the game.

[[Biting reminds you of your old abusive owner. You are not that dog anymore! Stay clam as she picks you up.->lady home]]You run for what seems like forever and finally tackle Hunter. You feel proud and strong for a second, but Hunter sees it on your face.
"Don't be too happy now. You really think you can match my strength", he smiles and hands you the bag.
"Good luck finding your way back, Kevin. Too bad Bailey has a dumb dog with no sense of direction or memory. I bet she'll move on in no time. If only every dog was as Precious as me", he laughs.
He starts to run back to the park. Quick! What is your plan?

[[Give up:(->lost]]You look around you for any things that stick out in your memory, but nothing seems familiar. New York City is huge. Who knows how far you are from home. Your heart begins to sink and you start to realize the hopelessness of the situation. You feel a sense of void in your heart and you realize that you are nothing without Bailey.
You start walking around the city in search of food. You haven't eaten anything since the bacon this morning. You enter a alley and decide to look in Bailey's bag. Maybe you'll find something useful. But soon, you find youself in the company of others.
Three men aproach you from the back as they stare down the bag.
"Give the bag now. Who know's how much money it has", says one of them.

[[Fight back. You need to get the bag back to Bailey.->rescue]]"OUCH!!!", she screams with anger, as she drops you on the floor. She proceeds to yell as you, but then she is immediately taken by suprise.
"You are not by dog! Pheobe! Where are you? As for you Kevin, you should learn how to behave.", she walks away to find Pheobe.
You are relieved but also ashamed. You go back to your friends who are now fighting over who is the fastest runner.
"Kevin, I dare you to chase the squirrel over there if you think you're fast", said Marcus.
[[No one takes you seriously. It's time to show them.->squirrel]]You start to panic as she starts to leave the park. Bailey would freak out when she doesn't find me at the park.
The old lady proceeds to walk back to her house with you in her arms. She is super old and clueless. When she reaches home, she hands you dog treats. You refuse to eat the treats hoping she would notice something strange.
She brings you close to her face and streams loudly with her eyes wild open.
"I left my dog in the park!!"
[[Go back!-> park 2]]You run after the squirrel as fast as you can. After a while, you start to burn and get really tired. You are far from the sight of your friends so you decide to tell them you caught the squirrel, since they wouldn't know that you were lying.
You start to head back when you realize that you don't know which direction you came from. You were so focused on the squirrel that you lost track of your path.

You have nothing with you. You are start to feel hungry. After several failed attempts with the cute puppy dog eyes, no one seems to pay attention to you or give you any food.
[[Walk by the dumpster. Desperate times call for desperate measures.->dumpster]]With you in her arms, she proceeds to head back to the park with her slow legs. She starts to yell her dogs name loudly. A tiny white dog crawls out of the bush and the old shrieks with joy!
"Now what do we do with you", she says as she looks at you with pity in her eyes.
It's too late by now. Most people have left the park. There is no sign of Bailey. She must have realized you were missing and gone out to look for you. The lady tries to find your owner by there is no use.
She finally gives up and says, "Maybe the dog shelter can help you".
[[Go to the dog shelter.->shelter]]She takes you to the nearest dog shelter. You see the other dogs locked up in cages. The place looks scary. The lady puts you down as she fills in a form. You see the door a few feet away from you open.

[[Stay. Maybe they can help find Bailey. She will probably come looking for you here.->shelter dogs]]You try to stay calm as they put you in a cage. One of the workers takes off your collar.
"Wait, NOOOO! I'm kevin. No one will know that if you remove my tag. How will Bailey find me!", but they don't understand you. You're confused. Bailey used to always know what you were saying.
"Try not to be hostile. They inject you with something that makes you sleep if you try anything. Learned it the hard way. My name is Bella.", she smiles.

"I'm sorry that all this happened to you. We had a lost dog up in here a while ago, but his owner never came to ask about him here. He was ultimately picked up by a new owner who took him home since he was fairly young. Us oldies have been in here for ages and will probably die here. You are young so I would suggest that you remain on your best behavior so someone can give you a new home", said Bella.

With no help, you never escape the shelter. You have decided that it is time to move on. Your only hope now is that you can find a new owner who can get you out of this life in a cage. You meet Rosie, who is also a golder retriever like you. You both have started to hang out a lot.

Farm life is great. You help out around the farm and live life happily ever after. You never found Bailey, but she will always be with you in your heart. One day a guy named Garry comes by with his daughter in search for a new dog. The little girl walk by and smiles at you. You walk over to her and lick her face. Give her the cute puppy dog ever and roll over. She is filled with excitement and says "This one! I want this one daddy!".
She holds you in her arms and takes you to your new house, where you live happily ever after. You never found Bailey, but you will always remember her for the rest of your life. As you walk past the dumpster in search of food, a bunch of evil-looking stray cats, scavaging through the dump, stare at you. They slowly start to surround you from all sides.
Their leader, the vicious black cat named Shadow walks uo to you.
"Well, well. What do we have here? Some who dares to walk by our alley and steal our food", She says.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to invade your home. I'm just lost and was hoping you could help me. You seem to be someone who knows their way around the city. I need to get to the dog park. I know my way from there", you said hesitently.
Shadow walks over to you real close and stares at you. She notices your collar.
"Poor old Kevin. Lost in a city that is too big for his memory. And then they say dogs are better pets than us", she sighs.
"Fine. We will try, but only if you promise to give us food whenever we come by your house".

[[Nah. I'll just eat and leave. Might be a trap.->run]]While carefully walking out the alley, you see food from the corner of your eye. You quickly grab it and run out before they say anything.
You have nowhere to go. You decide to eat and then walk around the city in hopes of finding someone or something familiar.

She walks over and calls out all her fellow cats.
"Who here has been to the dog park. I need someone to escort this poor thing to the dog park and remember his house for me", she says.
A tiny white cat walks over towards you. She seems different from the rest. She almost looks kind and nice to you.
"I'll take him", he says.
[[Go with her.->Zoe]]"Hi! I'm Zoe. Sorry about them. They are possessive over the alley. Shadow seems scary but she just puts on a tough shield to protect all of us from the outside", says Zoe.
Zoe walks with you across the city. It seems that younwere in fact quite a few blocks away from home. On her way, Zoe tells you about her life and her story of how she ended up in the dumpster. You walk by some amazing places and breathtaking views. It's almost sunset and you arrive at a dock.
"Isn't it so beautiful. I come here everytime I'm unhappy with life", Zoe says. "Maybe getting lost wasn't so bad afterall. You arte getting to truely explore the city!"

The sun is now set. Its almost dark. Both of you are tired and start heading home. As you are walking, you realize that even the the city is full with beauty and excitement, there is no place like home!
[[Head home->home]]After 1 hour of wandering the streets of New York City, you finally arrive at the dog park. You are hugely relieved and light up with joy.
You know the way now. You walk past the same old Anderson Bakery, Starbucks, the bookstore and the antique store. You start to think of Bailey and how happy she would be that I found my way back home.
As you arrive at the doorsteps of your home, you look over to Zoe. She was truly kind and a good friend to you. You say your goodbyes and hope to see each other soon.
As you walk into the door, you see Bailey on the sofa crying. You jump onto her as she screams and squeezes you tightly.
"I Love you Kevin. Don't ever leave me again!"The New York City bus goes to every part of the city. You just have to make sure to sneak in the bus carefully and find the perfect place to get off. You see the bus aproach the station.

[[Try sneaking in through the back door.->door]]You jump into the back of the mail van. But as you do so, the mail man catches you.
"Hey what do you think you are doing! This is no place for dogs!", he yells.
You give him the cute and innocent look. maybe he'll fall for it.
"Wait a second. I know you", he says while grabbing your dog tag.
"You're Kevin! Bailey's dog. I come by your house many times. WHat are you doing in this part of town".

[[Wigle your tail and jump.->delivery]]They grab the bag and take out everything from it. Bailey's phone falls out onto the floor. She could've tracked your location, but now its too late. They bust out laughing and leave with the bag.
With nothing left on you, you start to feel a pit in your stomach. YOu decide to walk over the dumpster in search of any food.
[[Go to the dumpster.->dumpster]]As one of the guys comes closer to grab the bag, you tighten your grip on the bag from your mouth and bark loud.
The guy hesitates but procceds to move forward. As he touches the bag, you quickly bite him and start to run out the alley. THe guys chase you but you don't stop running for a while. You finally stop and feel proud of yourself. You protected the bag from getting stolen. Good Job!
You finally look in for the second time and find a bag of dog treats. You are filled with joy. Bailey loved you so much. She made sure that she carried your favorite treats everywhere.
[[Sit and relax for a while.->location]]After all the running and fighting you feel exhauted and find a safe place at the corner of road, next to a trash can. You decide to take a nap.
You wake up to someone screaming. You recognize the voice. It's Bailey. She runs up to you and hugs you tightly.
"I'm so glad I found you! You kept my bag! I don't knwo what I would do without you", she cries.
By keeping the bag with you, you were found. The bag had Bailey's phone which was tracking your location.
You finally went home and lived happily ever after. You spot an open gym bag on the floor. While the guy is trying to tie is shoelace you quickly hop in and sqeeze into a little ball. You mopve as little as possible and wait.
The guy closes the bag and heads into the bus. You now get out of the bag and look out through the window. You need to decode when to go out.

[[Wait for a new bus.-> bus]]The place is lovely. You get off and walk around for a bit. You enjoy it at first but nothing here can get you closer to home. You get even more lost and never find Bailey.
You forgot to remember the places that you previously recognized on the way from home to the dog park. Yay! You remebered. The Anderson Bakery is close to your home. it's on the way to the dog park. You know the way from here.
You quickly get off and run towards home. It's almost sunset. Bailey must be worried sick.
As you walk into the door, you see Bailey on the sofa crying. You jump onto her as she screams and squeezes you tightly.
"I Love you Kevin. Don't ever leave me again!"At the end of the shift, the mail man takes the van to your house and horns.Bailey comes running out the door. The mail man holds you in his arms and takes you out the van.
"Found him in the other part of the city. I thought you would be looking for him", he smiled.

She busts into tears and gives you the tightest hug.
