The widespread use of Wi-Fi Access Points (APs) in indoor environments makes them vulnerable to exploitation by attackers to track users' locations without their consent. It is essential to protect user location privacy while ensuring a stable internet connection and maintaining throughput. This work explores MIMO precoding schemes aimed at providing location privacy for user devices connected to Wi-Fi access points in indoor environments, while ensuring minimal to no degradation in communication link quality. Through both hardware and simulation studies, it evaluates the performance of privacy-preserving precoders across various indoor channel conditions, aiming to secure user location without sacrificing connectivity. The key findings underscore the need to balance achieving privacy, maintaining system performance, and adapting to environmental factors.
