Blue Bahr Ocean Film Festival is intended as a celebration of our oceans, while at the same time serving as a platform to increase awareness and inform the public at large about the dire threats facing our seas. The Mediterranean and the Lebanese coast suffer from disastrous conditions including extreme pollution (runoff), marine debris, and overfishing. The films that will be showcased will touch upon these relevant topics, and seminars will be offered each day based on a specific theme (plastic pollution, shark conservation, marine safety, seafood sustainability). The goal of the festival is to create social change and to encourage the public to become better stewards of the sea.
