Originally designed for teaching Portuguese in a university context in the United States, this open access and non-commercial textbook, Plural: Português Pluricêntrico is built upon the following pillars: the pluricentric nature of the Portuguese language, social justice pedagogy and project-based teaching. With the urgency to address the complexities of a globalized society focused on Portuguese-speaking communities (and with an added emphasis on diasporas), we present this material as a means to support teachers and learners in their Portuguese language development journey utilizing transformative and inclusive practices.
