Submission Guidelines

How to Submit:

Since its founding in the Department of Anthropology at UC Berkeley in 1949, the KAS has published both general and specially edited journals. Papers will be accepted with the understanding that their content has been not published elsewhere. If any part of a paper has been already published, or is to be published elsewhere, the author must include this information at the time of submission.

Please submit papers electronically by email to: kas@berkeley.edu

Guidelines for Authors:

The Kroeber Anthropological Society publishes articles and reviews in all anthropology subdisciplines and related fields which are of theoretical and/or practical interest. We welcome submissions by students, faculty, and professionals. Submissions for our general volumes are evaluated through a peer-review process.

Any papers still requiring significant editing will not be considered for publication. Papers should be submitted by 5pm PST on the day of the deadline. Papers submitted after these deadlines cannot be guaranteed publication in the upcoming issue.
