- Pickett, Matthew
- Advisor(s): Ramesh, Ramamoorthy
Abstract
This dissertation describes the materials science of memristive switching in titanium dioxide. It discusses the strucutral changes of the oxide that take place and provides a phenomenological model for the dynamical behavior during switching. Further, the dissertation describes a two-state variable nanoscale device based on metal insulator transitions and memristive switching. It concludes with a discussion of various applications of titanium oxide memristive devices.
