I firmly believe that educators must embrace the media in their pedagogical practices, recognizing its possibilities and preparing students for their encounters. Much of my beliefs and understandings regarding critical media literacy were informed by the theories and activities that were a Part of Dr. Rhonda Hammer's course. This class has served as a remarkable model of how a critical media class should be taught.
