Assisted Living

Abstract

Assisted Living is a feature-length screenplay. It's only at the end of our old, feeble lives that we can look back and think about how we would have done things differently. But what if you could gain the wisdom of that hindsight with your youth fully intact? 30-year-old Cole Murphy, an aspiring comedian stuck as an orderly at a nursing home, gets that opportunity after economic circumstances force him to live in an elderly guise as nursing home pseudo-resident Karl Peters in ASSISTED LIVING. Cole's jumbled double life becomes further complicated as the woman he's fallen for, Megan, ends up being the granddaughter of his nursing home neighbor and best old friend, Rick. After betraying the trust of Megan, Rick, and some unlikely elderly friends, Cole must rely on the values he's picked up as a senior to make things right again.
