Abstract

Intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) is a devastating complication of extracorporeal life support (ECLS), but the only studies on the timing of ICH detection by head ultrasound (HUS) in infants is from two decades ago. In light of advancements in imaging technology and neonatal and pediatric critical care, our objectives were to provide updated data on the timing of ICH in infants on ECLS and to identify risk factors associated with ICH.
