Abstract
Abstract: Remote Photoplethysmography (rPPG) is the process of estimating a heart rate using subtle variations in optical readings from a person’s skin. This project aims to create a low cost rPPG model using the RGB spectrum from an inexpensive camera sources that can handle heavy movement. The components we are looking to improve on from existing implementations are different approaches to defining a region of interest, incorporating a predictive algorithm to track the key points, and using different signal cleaning methods to remove unwanted noise.
