Abstract

We report a measurement of the branching fraction of the decay [Formula presented] and of the [Formula presented] -odd component of its final state using the BABAR detector. With data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of [Formula presented] collected at the [Formula presented] resonance during 1999–2000, we have reconstructed 38 candidate signal events in the mode [Formula presented] with an estimated background of [Formula presented] events. From these events, we determine the branching fraction to be [Formula presented]. The measured [Formula presented] -odd fraction of the final state is [Formula presented]. © 2002 The American Physical Society.
