Law and economics in the tropics: Some reflections
Abstract
Since the institutional, political, and behavioural contexts as well as the underlying power distributions are often different in poor countries, as spelled out in this paper, the law and economics literature as developed in rich countries needs to be seriously modified if it is to be of relevance to former countries.
