The temporal evolution of the current, radiance and efficiency of electroluminescent devices with various electrodes was discussed. It was observed that the performance of the organic electroluminescent devices was dominated by the process of charge injection. Different top electrodes were found to inject holes with different efficiency. It was found that, under forward bias the device characteristics were independent of the electrodes used.
