Abstract

We present results for the branching fractions and charge asymmetries in [Formula presented] (where [Formula presented] ) and a search for the decay [Formula presented] using a sample of approximately [Formula presented] [Formula presented] pairs collected by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy [Formula presented] Factory at SLAC. We measure [Formula presented], where the first error is statistical and the second is systematic. The [Formula presented] signal has a significance of [Formula presented] including systematic uncertainties. We simultaneously measure the [Formula presented] branching fraction to be [Formula presented]. The charge asymmetries are [Formula presented] and [Formula presented]. We place a 90% confidence-level upper limit on the branching fraction [Formula presented] of [Formula presented]. © 2003 The American Physical Society.
