Kinetics of phase transitions in pulsed IR laser ablation of biological tissues
Abstract
An overview is given of a comprehensive analysis of the mechanisms of pulsed laser tissue ablation as well as new aspects related to nanosecond laser ablation using moderate and high radiant exposures. Focus is on the thermodynamics and kinetics of phase transitions and their modifications arising from the presence of a tissue matrix.
