Investigating Sources, Transformations and Fates of Brominated Compounds in the Coastal Environment

Abstract

Methoxylated and hydroxylated polybrominated diphenyl ethers (MeO- and OH-PBDEs) and polybrominated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PBDDs) found in marine biota in the coastal environment are not derived from the anthropogenic, PBDE flame retardant compounds.
