• Central venous catheters may increase risk for infective endocarditis in patients with adult congenital heart disease. • Transesophageal echocardiography may play a key role visualizing venous baffles after the atrial switch procedure. • Percutaneous suction thrombectomy is an option in patients with shunts or baffles.
