Abstract

Two basic drives--the ego drives and the sex drives are ever in conflict and the source of neuroses, according to Freud. In this chapter I examine the recent reports of the details of sexual assaults as laid out by victims and conclude they result from the ego drive winning out over the sex drive, defined as eros linked to another person.
