Abstract
The poems follow the journey of Smallis Weavens, an amateur bird-watcher, as he seeks the legendary Sapphire Hummingbird of Colchis. The poems function as one contiguous story, told by Weavens, of the hunt for the Sapphire Hummingbird and of the various trials that accompany the life of an amateur bird-watcher.
