Demodicosis is a chronic skin disease caused by Demodex mites such as Demodex folliculorum and Demodex brevis. Demodex mites live in pilosebaceous units and they are regarded as a part of the normal skin flora. Leiomyoma of the nipple and areola is a rare subtype of genital leiomyoma. The etiology of the tumor is not well understood. However, sex hormones like estrogen and progesterone have been implicated in the tumorigenesis. Hereby, we report a 47-year-old man with an estrogen receptor positive, progesterone receptor negative, leiomyoma of the areola.
