This paper presents the historical and theoretical context that supported the creation of my thesis film Rizomas and its relation to feminism, ecology, and climate justice. Through a framework based on research, practice, and experimentation of digital and analogue media techniques, as well as artistic mediums such as performance, poetry and installation, I put forward personal experiences with ayahuasca and their influence on the progression of my work. Additionally, I address the critical theories and artistic influences that were imperative during my creative process, while highlighting the importance of wholeness, care, and life affirming action as guiding principles. Lastly, I focus on the ways in which these findings and the eclectic nature of the film traced a new ethical framework that I will carry on in my future as a researcher and filmmaker.
