Abstract
Where Was I? is a collection of untitled poetry and lyric essay where an obsession with primary colors of pigment (red, yellow, and blue) acts as a vehicle for the semi-autobiographical speaker to interrogate the relationality and interconnectivity of the self and the seen (a multifaceted I vs. the eye), and pursue not just a search for meaning, but a question of how one makes meaning, how one achieves and stays present, and how one locates themselves in the universe. The solution is a complex intertwining of self and perspective, wherein self is shaped by what we choose to see, and the way we choose to see it.
