Submissions for New Publication
The Disability Law Journal (DLJ) is currently accepting manuscripts of unpublished articles through November 18, 2022. Please see the general submission guidelines page for more information about our current publication model.
At this time, we are prioritizing articles that focus on cutting-edge issues impacting people and communities with disabilities, take an intersectional approach, and reflect the values of the Disability Rights Movement. This is an exceptional chance to feature new scholarship and emerging issues in disability law, and we strongly encourage you to participate.
Authors will be contacted regarding whether the submission will or will not be used by January 25, 2023. Submissions are promise exclusive to the DLJ until this date. While we are excited to read all submissions, the DLJ does not guarantee that all articles submitted will be used in the publication.
Please submit work to DLJ@lawnet.ucla.edu with the subject line, “Manuscript Submission” by Friday, November 18, 2022 at 10:00 PM. Please also attach the author's resume/CV and make sure the manuscript follows these requirements:
- Be in .doc or .docx format
- Have one-inch margins, 14-point Arial typeface, and double-spaced
- Should follow current edition of The Bluebook
- Should include a table of contents and an abstract
- Preference is given to articles under 60 pages
Please reach out to us at dlj@lawnet.ucla.edu with any questions or to request any necessary accommodations. We look forward to reading your submissions!
