This report is a longitudinal study of center-based quality and staffing in three Northern California communities. It is a landmark study of staffing and stability in child care centers which provides a uniquely detailed look at teacher and director retention and turnover. The publication updates CCW’s 1997 study of NAEYC Accreditation as a Strategy for Improving Child Care Quality, offering new information on the ability of accredited centers to maintain quality gains over several years.
