Submisisons for this conference are accepted after we publicize our call for papers, usually around November. The submitted abstracts are then reviewed and selected on the basis of fit with Borderlands theory and its application. Before the conference, the papers themselves are circulated to faculty respondents, who comment on the panels in the conference proper. Papers available for publication are then edited by a graduate student committtee.
