Places is a leading journal of contemporary architecture, landscape, and urbanism. We publish essays, criticism, photography, and narrative journalism, as well as peer-reviewed scholarship that deserves a wide audience.
The journal is now fully online at www.placesjournal.org.
Prior to moving online in 2009, Places was a print journal founded in 1983 by faculty at MIT and Berkeley. The print archive is available in PDF format, on the new website as well as here on eScholarship, as part of the California Digital Library.
