Policies for Submissions
CEGA publishes materials related to impact evaluation and global development that are authored (or co-authored) and submitted by CEGA faculty members and affiliates. On occasion, the Center will sponsor a special working paper series to highlight specific areas of CEGA's work, including contributions from outside authors. Any decisions concerning publication are made by the CEGA director.
Permissions
You and your co-authors retain the copyright to your paper. However, we ask that you grant the Repository a nonexclusive license to publish submitted material, by agreeing to the terms of our author agreement. The nonexclusive license means that you may publish your submitted material elsewhere.
Author Review
Once papers are submitted, authors do not have an opportunity for review before the paper is posted to our website. Therefore, please be sure that the paper is ready for public distribution when you submit it.
Removal
A paper may be updated or removed from public view by sending a request to the system administrator at thomaschupein@berkeley.edu. However, a citation to the original version of the paper will always remain on the site (even if the paper itself is removed).
Author Agreement
I grant the Center for Effective Global Action on behalf of the Regents of the University of California (hereafter called Organized Research Unit) the non-exclusive right to make content for the eScholarship Repository (hereafter called the Work) available in any format in perpetuity.
I warrant as follows:
(a) that I have the full power and authority to make this agreement;
(b) that the Work does not infringe any copyright, nor violate any proprietary rights, nor contain any libelous matter, nor invade the privacy of any person; and
(c) that no right in the Work has in any way been sold, mortgaged, or otherwise disposed of, and that the Work is free from all liens and claims.
I agree to hold the Organized Research Unit harmless from any claim, action, or proceeding alleging facts that constitute a breach of any warranty enumerated in this paragraph, and further agree to indemnify the Organized Research Unit and others against expenses and attorney's fees that may be incurred in defense against each claim, action, or proceeding.
I understand that once the Work is deposited in the repository, a citation to the Work will remain visible in perpetuity, even if the Work is updated or removed.
