Ethics

Authors submitted their papers for publication in the ICCM Proceedings agree to abide to the following ethics standards:

1. Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their submitted work is entirely original and not published elsewhere. Duplicate submissions of the same work are not permitted. Proper credit and citations must be given to the work of others. Plagiarism in any form (including unreferenced copying of text or paraphrasing without attribution) is strictly prohibited.

3. Data Integrity and Fabrication. Research data must be presented accurately and truthfully, without intentional falsification or fabrication. Authors should retain raw data related to the study when possible and provide it upon request by the conference review committee.

4. Human and Animal Rights. Studies involving human participants must comply with the ethical standards of the 1964 Helsinki Declaration and the 1974 Belmont Report. Formal approval from an institutional ethical review committee or equivalent authority must be secured and acknowledged in the submission.

4. Authorship and Contributions. All listed authors must have made a significant and direct scientific contribution to the research. All individuals who contributed to the submission without qualifying for authorship should be properly acknowledged in an acknowledgments section. All individuals receiving credit for the publications must be lawfully considered competent and accountable and at the moment the study was carried out. This prohibits, for example, “in memoriam” credits to individuals who were deceased at the moment the research was conducted, or non-human authors.
