The Workshop focused on research issues concerning the cognition of scale in geographic information, and concerning scale in the cognition of geographic information. This document reports on the plenary presentations, discussions, and outcomes of a 3-day meeting of cognitive psychologists, human geographers, and computer scientists in Santa Barbara, CA in May 1998.
