Novel Structures, Reactivity, and Mechanisms Resulting from Multiple Ru-H-Si 3c-2e Bonds Between a Single Silicon Center and a Ruthenium Center Supported by the Tris(diphenylphopshinomethyl)phenylborate Ligand

Abstract

The chemistry of hydrodosilanes in the coordination sphere of [PhBP3]Ru complexes was examined. Unusual modes of bridging Ru-H-Si interactions were found to activate the silanes for a variety of stoichiometric and catalytic reactions with unsaturated organic substrates.
