Californians' Views on Lowering the Voting Age
Abstract
This research brief presents findings from a statewide poll of Californians to document the level of support or opposition to lowering the voting age to 16 for school board, local, and national elections. Poll results showed the highest level of support for lowering the voting age for local elections. There was greater support among those aged 55 and younger and across certain regions of California.
