Analysis of complex graded-dielectric structures for dispersion compensation in high frequency signal propagation in microstrip circuits

Abstract

Dispersion on microstrip circuits is a limitation for transmitting many high speed signals. There are numerous concepts and methods which attempt to deal with dispersion in both passive and active manners. This dissertation is focuses on a particular method which \emph}grades} the dielectric in a particular fashion in an attempt to move the dispersive characteristics upward in frequency. The thesis focuses on the problem statement, method for analysis, some numerical results, and discusses possible future methods for advancing the research
